How to make best use of my time being a full-time NEET?
>>
Get fit and get some creative hobbies. If you don't like the gym then just go running. Physical fitness will do wonders for your confidence and creativity. Personal growth for personal growth's sake alone is the best thing anyone can do with their time.

Look up Da Vinci's Renaissance Man. I tried to model myself on that ideal and I went from being a total loser to being normal and even kind of popular.

>How to make best use of my time being a full-time NEET?
Entrepreneurship, or at the very least developing a skill that can be monetized, there's lots of NEETs that end up fucked in the butthole bcs they think they can be a NEET till they die, till something happens and they can't, having to work on McDonalds, Burger King and Waffle House with no previous experience and as a 30 or even 40 year old. I don't wish this upon anyone.

Do you mind linking some sources that you used to get started? It seems to be a good guiding principle, since I've been really doing poorly both physically and mentally for a few years now.

>they think they can be a NEET till they die, till something happens and they can't
Yeah, I've seen too many examples of this posted here throughout the years and I really don't want to go down the same path. Regarding skills, I'll have to figure out something though, since I don't think I have one. I went to a job interview a few days ago though, so there's that at least.

Hey so I did this a few years ago, starting in like 2020/2021 over covid. I don't really have any resources per se but I could get your discord maybe if you want to talk more there? I could send you whatever academic notes I have that might interest you. How old are you? What I did may only work if you have the resources to restart education eventually.

The renaissance man is Da Vinci's ideal. He is phsycially fit, educated in science and art, and is creative. So you want to try get a bit fitter, study something practical that could get you a job, and study something artsy that you can be expressive and creative with.

Anyway I started by doing a 20km cycle most evenings from July to September 2020. When school restarted and I didn't have a bike, I started running 2km everyday, with a 5km once a week. I did that September 2020 to Christmas 2020. Then I moved it up to 5kms daily for the new year. I kept that up for like 6 months and took it easy thereafter. I was fit enough then. I was having massive body image issues at the time I started this, I was considering transitioning and I was probably depressed as well. I seriously considered suicide. By November 2020 (having started in July), I had thrown away my diary with all the trans shit in it, and had begun to like what I saw in the mirror.

Another really important thing is to keep your mind busy so you can avoid rumination. By getting fit initially, I gave myself enough of a baseline to take education seriously again. I started going to a piano teacher, and practiced for half an hour to an hour daily. Once I had the basics right I learned only songs that interested me and that other people would recognise and enjoy listening to. The praise you get after a performance is very important.

I also started reading classic literature. The Catcher in the Rye and Frankenstein were the first two I read. I made an attempt to analyse them and then started writing short stories of my own. 1/2

Continued.

The stories were rubbish at first, but practice made perfect.

As for something practical, I started Biology and Chemistry in preparation for going to medschool. I'm about to start my final year of medschool now. I put most my study time into these- they did not come easy to me.

I also spent a year getting the basic grammar of French and Irish correct, as well as expanding my vocabulary. Then I set myself the challange of keeping two diaries, one entirely in Irish and the other in French. Thus I became fluent- I had to be able to express my every thought.

Basically, I figured out where I wanted to be in life. For me that was a doctor without mental health issues. Then I worked out what I needed to do to get there. In my case it was study Biology and chemistry, and fix my head. I then identified what I was genuinely interested in (music, literature and language), and set about studying them in my free time.

What you need to do is identify where you want to be in life, and figure out what you need to study to get there. You should work on fitness, and try to identify at least one creative or artsy hobby that can give you an emotional release in your free time.

It's going to be really difficult at first, and some days you will feel like giving up. But trust me, it has worked wonders for me.

I went from being a KHHV with no friends to having had two exes, and a big friend group in college, and a reputation as a poet

I also want to add a few more things.

When you start trying to get fit, don't worry about times or max weights initially. Just be happy that you showed up and made an effort. That's enough.

I used take a break 10km into my cycles to get a monster or a bar of chocolate. You have to reward yourself too. If you're not enjoying it, you won't keep it up.

I reduced my internet time because a lot of it is poisonous. You need to keep your thoughts free of negative shit like social media that could make you feel worse.

When I started uni, I literally just walked up to people I found interesting after the ice-breakers and started talking to them. The first guy I approached is my best friend now. Just don't over think it.

Once I had a bit of money together, I got some new clothes that were a bit more fashionable, in colours that suited me better. Lots of blues, greens and whites because of my eyes and complexion.

Be like Alyssa Liu, don't chase medals or being the best. Do it for fun. If you love what you do, it'll never feel like a chore

>I could get your discord
Thanks, but no. I actively avoid using social media(does 4chan count?)
>How old are you?
I'm 23
>Another really important thing is to keep your mind busy so you can avoid rumination
Huge problem with me as well. But unfortunately I've spent many years choosing the most unhealthy ways to handle it. Another thing I'll have to work on.
>What you need to do is identify where you want to be in life, and figure out what you need to study to get there.
Good point.I think many of my self-destructive tendencies (depression,self-loathing,over-indulgence in escapism, etc.) can be traced back to a lack of direction in life. Due to being a perfectionistic, I often get stuck in analysis paralysis even toward the most trivial things,so I sort of stagnated in life completly. The lack of a social life also made me feel somewhat alienated as well.

Reading about your progress through your posts made me feel genuinely happy for you even though we don't know each other. I hope you progress even further. I'll use this thread as reference and see how much I can do from there.

It does, and they have your IP stored BTW

Best of luck! I wish you all the best :D

You know that your IP address changes all the time and can't be used to doxx you unless you are law enforcement, right?
>>
>>34554845
You know how that stuff works, huh?

This guy is not me.

>You know that your IP address changes all the time and can't be used to doxx you unless you are law enforcement, right?
That's half true. You can figure out someone's general location through their IP address. It's true that getting an exact location usually requires law enforcement involvement, at least in theory, because internet providers have access to that information. Technically, employees working for those providers could leak or abuse it, but people generally assume they will not because it is illegal.

That said, history has shown more than once that sites like 4chan will cooperate with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and hand over user information, sometimes under questionable circumstances. There was even a guy claiming to be a security guard at the prison where Jeffrey Epstein was held. He posted online saying Epstein had been secretly moved inside the prison. Later, documents from the so called "Epstein Files" included emails between federal agents and prison staff, and they contained the guard's name and other personal information. I looked him up afterward, and he actually was a real security guard there, couldn't find any information about him being alive or deceased though.

Agree with these anons
The question I have for you is: why are you a NEET? Can't get a job, not good at socializing, mental or physical issues? The vast majority of NEETs fall into this category for one reason or another, it's not a voluntary thing they will themselves into as much as they like to believe otherwise. Please make sure that you are making an informed decision not based on any resentment or a feeling of giving up (temporarily to reorganize is very wise though), because as the other anons have said, you do NOT want to end up as a long-term NEET with zero skills or interests that lives in a meaningless, nihilistic existence. Once you begin on that path your life is effectively over, imo.
That being said you seem to have enough foresight to hopefully not do that. Your days should be well-structured. Write down what goals you have in life, what motivates you, what you can see yourself looking forward to, what values you want to cultivate. If you can't think of anything here then you probably have some depression and that is a separate issue entirely. Once you have those written down, see what you can accomplish on a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly basis. This sounds hard to organize but it only takes an hour or two of conscious effort. You do not want to be floating about with no overarching objectives or purpose for your life.
Write down daily tasks that help you progress towards your goals, and be (relatively) strict about adhering to them. You want to build discipline not just so you can be more well-aligned with the workforce in the possible future, but to channel your strengths in a organized fashion. Too many NEETs fall into the trap of thinking any form of expenditure of energy is equivalent to wage labor. This is a cope.
You NEED structure and purpose in your life. Most NEETs passively consume media, jack off, and do nothing all day other than to distract themselves superficially. It will be hard at first but it is necessary.

>why are you a NEET? Can't get a job, not good at socializing, mental or physical issues?
Well, you almost got it right off the bat. Got laid-off from my last job due to my "complete lack of charisma", my former employer's words. He said that despite my qualities as a worker, I really don't fit into the sales business and that I should seek to do something else with my life, preferably something that doesn't involve too much human contact, if any at all. On top of that, my former coworkers were complaining about me to him behind my back, because it seems that being a serious and insecure dude that don't talk endlessly about gossip, sex and meaningless trash from social media annoys the normies. Since then I've given up on looking for another job because I basically had to beg to get that last one.
>If you can't think of anything here then you probably have some depression and that is a separate issue entirely
I've been depressed for 4 or 5 years already and it truly takes its toll on the mind.
>You NEED structure and purpose in your life. Most NEETs passively consume media, jack off, and do nothing all day other than to distract themselves superficially.
I've been since I was 10 though, but once I became an adult I realized it's completely unsustainable
