>known (long distance) coworker about a year
>long distance I.e. different branch office, our work puts us in the same city once a month or so
>have always had good chemistry, I have a pet nickname for her, we tease each other
>talked on the phone a few times, when we do it’s a few hours
>but, if I don’t initiate phone calls she never does, and if we have vague plans (IRL or phone) but I don’t follow up, she lets them go
>she flakes constantly, we only hang out/talk on phone like every third time I initiate
>recently exchanging old pics of us, she says re my 5 year old self “it’s illegal to be this cute”
>say back “well don’t worry I obey the law now”
>” you’re still cute!”

We’re meeting for lunch later this week, only our second time meeting up 1-on-1 but could the signs so far be positive? Her flakiness makes me think I’m misreading her level of interest

Definitely sounds interested just be direct about what you want

If she doesn’t flake on lunch then I think I’ll ask her on a date for next time we meet
