Has anyone had success/increased attention from women by increasing height with shoe-lifts? I am 178,5 cm (5'10) tall and plan on wearing such a shoe booster to a party, so that I can larp as 183 cm (6'0)
Women look out for it now. Like with most frauds the population gets an immunity for it after a while. If you were wearing lifts in 2008 when men thought it was gay to even try to look good you were going to clean up. Nowadays you will probably get made fun of. They really do make you look uncoordinated. But I also understand the appeal of getting them for sure

Now, to get taller, it's way harder, you have to cut your legs, not walk for 2 years, pass 2 more years learning how to walk, and you'll look like a whacko. Not to mention that you won't be able to practice sports, at least, not in the intensity you used to. So 4+ years, an enormous amount of pain, money, to get disabled and look like a whacko. Yeah, in this case, the grass is greener.
