It made it worse, she is our daughter and barely 19 years old, this not just uncomfortable, but improper, somehow. My husband and daughter won't listen to my concerns. One friend says I'm overreacting and it's purely artistic. My other friend agrees it feels creepy, how do I convince them not to do this?

Why in the first scenario the level of it doesn't cross an important boundary, you probably still don't want to apply it to your daughter. However if she's clothed it's an overreaction.I would recommend letting your husband go to the life drawing classes, and maybe attending one or two yourself to paint models too. I think if you go to a full life drawing session you'll understand how much of a nothing burger it is. It's awkward for the first 10 minutes or so, then you get over it.
