I have nothing going for me. There is a girl that I like, but have not seen in public for over four years. I know she is single since I have a common contact. If I am unable to go for grad school or land a job, then I am serving in a foreign military as an engineer and likely will not be allowed to return to America again (this is a very likely possibility, the US military cannot take me on because I do not meet some minimum requirements for health).

Should I see her knowing that I am bottom rung (apart from not being fat) and may be leaving in the foreseeable future?
