I’m 19 I’ve been home for about 2 and a half months now I just got done with military training and have been looking for a job this whole time. No one is hiring even though they say they are I had an interview today 15 minutes before it was supposed to happen it got canceled because they found someone that “meets” their requirements and this was an entry level job btw. I’ve put in 80+ applications to anything you can possibly think of and nothing not even an email saying that they found someone else. I even call these places asking for an update or if my application has been received or reviewed and i usually get the same response “We’re looking at applications later today” I even fake my resume to match more requirements and still absolutely nothing I’m so lost in this bullshit. I’m sick and tired of living the same life every single day over and over again just sitting at home, gym, applying for jobs, etc. the military fags I’ve met told me that the certificates for completing training and shit is really good on resumes and I bet it’s true but when I ask about it to these autistic slut HR’s they just brush over it and don’t gaf. I also recently found out that the new average new hire age is 37 this shit completely baffles me beyond belief since I’m basically going against mfs that just got done with college or have multiple degrees in bullshit just for them to take a spot at an entry level job paying $14 an hour. What am i supposed to do? And if any anons know if there’s any side hustles I can do in the meantime to earn a little bit of some cash on the side? Life sucks this job market sucks everything sucks. Dealing with these HR’s makes me hate women even more than I already do

idk any side hustles u don’t already know.when i was 19 covid lockdowns were starting & i was in a similar situation. i traded/sold my xbox, laptop, & clothes on offerup ebay etc for higher value items to desperate people and traded up to $800/week.or just lie on ur resume.is it rly this hard to get a job at the local grocery store?aren’t there jobs within the military?what are you doing there if not something tech related for air force/navy

Here’s a truth nuke. HR even within cities will go through 500 applications for one position and hire within the city but never tell anyone or promote without telling anyone but a few.OP I’ve meet people who hate having job and those who are extremely desperate. Even though it’s hard it’s not your fault. Also with the time off use it. If you find a job you hate for $ which is what’s going to happen you’re gonna wish you had the free time again. Use it for a dream for example or goals.

Where I'm from it's illegal for companies to hire from within without advertising the job.Thus, whenever a company wishes to promote someone, their job has to be publicly advertised and applications fielded for it, even when the company has absolutely no intention of even reading them.I suspect at least half the middle-management and above roles in my area now are companies doing that so they can record evidence that they actually advertised the role in case they're called out about it.Seems to me that the only effect of this legislation is to waste the time of all the people applying in good faith.

>>34573959OP here I’m in the national guard so I’m only really doing bullshit military stuff one weekend a month it basically forces you to have a job in the civilian world to make money since you barely make anything doing drill for national guard I only joined for the benefits I also did say I fake my resume to match requirements and nothing grocery stores around me are filled with immigrants mostly beaners and Indians I have sold a few things but even then I’m not gonna sell everything just to have nothing left then have to buy it all back.
>>34574009 I have been trying to work on goals/dreams it’s just getting worse and worse since some of the things need money to really get more accomplished the stress from being broke is eating me alive I’ve even tried to have my friends help me by giving me referrals to jobs and it doesn’t work. I have a friend that’s a manager at a grocery store and has a good relationship with HR and all the other higher ups and nothing happened positions would get taken by the closest beaner living there or some 30 year old cuck that has degrees in CS that can’t get a job anywhere else either it’s really sad to see.
