I've been wanting to expand my palette to actually have an opinion on something, but my only problem is that I just don't care about it at all.
Books don't interest me, sports don't interest me, movies don't interest me, and games don't interest me.
Whenever I try to start any of them, I always get off it without finishing it, forgetting about it to do something new.
Stuff like stories also don't interest me anymore. I just read a synopsis and go: 'wow that's cool' and nothing more..
I never really go through finding the deeper meaning when it comes to a storyline. Just kinda accept stuff the way it is..
All i really watch is random video essays in the background while I work on something and then i jerk off or something else to waste time.
I really just want to actually connect with people because I will either awkwardly feign knowledge of in-jokes that they'll have or I'll just stay silent and break the conversation by asking dumbass questions.

get a LLM to generate a cultural literacy starter pack in a csv format you can import into anki and the numbergoup will tickle your autism
>>
why do video essays interest you if you have no interest in the primary source material?

>oh I've heard of that! I watched a mop headed faggot sitting on a bouncy ball rant about it for 20 minutes!
is this a valid method of knowledge acquisition?

I mean might as well

because most of them are about people rather than the topics

No, video essays are mental poison. Not only do they fill you with misinformation, which is worse than zero information, but they also burn out your urge to learn.

Well that or just streamers just to put noise on in the background.
