I was talking to a coworker and she said the absolute biggest turn off is seeing a man cry. This kind of hit home for me because im a big softy. I don't break down in tears often but it doesn't take much to get my eyes all misty. Someone can tell me a sad story about their lives and I'll get choked up before they do. Movies, music, games can all get me in my feels heavily. Even a fucking tiktok edit can get me going if it hits the right emotions. Should I just hide this part of myself from women forever?
>>34581653No, it turns me on but desu I'm kind of a twisted person :/
>>34581653>Do women actually hate men that cry?yes>Should I just hide this part of myself from women forever?yes. The long answer is also yes, but it's complicated.t. wombman
>>34581700thats kinda hot>>34581716thank you I will keep this in mind from now on
>>34581653Do not worry, men also do not like women that cry
>>34581653If you have to cry, make it over something serious (your best friend died, etc) and walk away. Hide your face with your hand. But whatever you do, don't let her see you do an ugly-face/snot-bubble cry at the graduation song from 'K-On!' or footage of a seagull saving a kitten.
>>34581761>But whatever you do, don't let her see you do an ugly-face/snot-bubble cry at the graduation song from 'K-On!' or footage of a seagull saving a kitten.this is literally me trying not to cry watching videos of dogs being reunited with their ownersim so fucked
>>34581778Damn.Can you binge-watch them to the point your brain shuts down and you become immune? Or try to find a way of transforming the cry response into a kind laugh?
>>34581653Your coworker sounds like a bitch. The only time I've been turned off of a man crying is when it was because he cheated on me and was "sad" he hurt me and I was "abandoning" him.
So from what I gather, never cry in front of a woman who isn't your mother.
>>34581653Yes
>>34581653I find it cute and want to hug and comfort them...
>>34582035Don't even cry in front of her. Bottle it up, tamp it deep down, and let it out someplace far away from everybody else, with a bottle of bourbon to help ease the pain.
>>34581653>Should I just hide this part of myself from women forever?Have you ever browsed >>>/pol/ ? This empathy that you have would goo away rather quickly if you were black pilled
>>34581653>>34582035There's no correct answer here because individual women have wildly different preferences. There are women who utterly despise seeing men cry, and there are women who think it's attractive and indicative of emotional depth. The one thing I can say with a good amount of certainty is that men massively underestimate how much (some) women like crying and vulnerability in general. I would say just be yourself, especially if you want a long-term relationship. You don't want to bottle up your emotions around the one person you're meant to be emotionally intimate with. If you're crying multiple times a day, during normal conversations, maybe cut down on that because that might be seen as a weird. But don't be afraid to cry about actually sad things, because the chicks that like that, *really* like that.
>>34581653>Should I just hide this part of myself from women forever? No, you're already hiding it enough.
>>34582402But you're basically playing russian roulette. How can you know if she has no issue with seeing a man cry?
>>34582515Exhibit emotionally intelligent vulnerability sans tears and see how she responds.
>>34582515>How can you know if she has no issue with seeing a man cry?You can usually type women as either "primarily attracted to traditional masculinity" or "primarily attracted to emotional connection" within 30 minutes of meeting them. The former will be turned off by vulnerability (like crying), the second turned on.
>>34581653OP, people are naturally selfish and callous because they follow what comforts them most of their life. You don't see most people reading books or philosophy or any of that. You see them reading to get a high on coming off as intelligent and them passing off on people that discomfort them because reality has given them the entitlement and gift to live without consequences. Now are you a victim of this circumstance? Yes you are, because people are treating life like a video game they think you are an NPC with a dialogue option they can skip on their main quest to get their rich and fulfilling life based on comfort fulfilled. I'm an NPC too OP and most of the time what I say people skip the dialogue of assuming it is like some JRPG gay dialogue or something like that. If I was you, I'd just try to focus on how good life is with the little things, because things are gonna get more controversial and convulted. I bet at some point in our lives we're gonna get a popular opinion from women asking if it is the right thing to drown a puppy because it destroyed their make-up box or something like that.
>>34582515its not Russian roulette, it's burning away the chaff. if you're a guy whose natural emotional reaction to sad things is to cry it's good to weed out all the women who respond to that in a shitty way
>>34582515How about you proudly play your Counter-Strike video game at 2AM drinking your Baja Blast MTN Dew and eating your Taco Bell Crunchwrap. The women who dislike you for that life then just find someone who does okay?
>>34582515There's no risk involved, because you don't actually want to be with anyone who doesn't want to be with you. The worst case scenario is that you get a woman to reveal that she has a hardened and selfish heart, which is a good thing for you because it signals that it's time for you to move on to somebody who has a chance at being compatible.
