OP here for an update

>made an appointment with a male therapist that does CBT
>the session went really well and it really felt like I could be understood by the therapist and I could talk about anything without worrying much about being covertly judged (I worried about that with my ex therapist who was female)
>will be seeing him once a week
>quit the female therapist that was seeing me and realized the only reason i didn't quit sooner was the sunk cost fallacy
