>quit my shitty 9 to 5>work as a freelancer>make 6x more while working much less>still anxious that I might end up without any work just because there was no work for me todayHow can I stop feeling anxious like this? I know that days like this are bound to happen in this line of work, I have my savings, I didn't raise my expenses, but I'm still anxious
>>34584629You are supposed to have an egg worth at the very least 6 months living money
>>34584673Yeah I have around 8 months of expenses in savings, and of course I plan on putting more money towards these savings, but I'm still anxious
>>34584629>make 6x more while working much lessAre you a software engineer? I was thinking about doing that, but the options are limited, I tried upwork and fiver and there's thousands of jeets offering to do the work for free.
I want to quit my job so much and become a freelance, give me some tips bro. Don't be anxious about it, if you can make 6x what you used to make, just save the extra money, you can retire soon, and nothing will matter
>>34584629Keep yourself sharp and ready for other opportunities, and advertise your services if you can. Also, what manner of job is it? Creative? Technical? In any case, good work man. You're living the dream of many people. I have freelanced before, but I'm not confident enough to keep doing it.
>>34584629What kind of work?
>>34584755>Are you a software engineer? No. I am thinking about going to computer science school though.>thousands of jeets offering to do the work for free.Basically this. I'm a third world street rat, which means I can just charge what would be some meaningless pocket change for most people and still make tons of money in my shithole.>>34584763I'm not thinking about retiring anytime soon. I'm only 21.>>34584794>and advertise your services if you canfor now, dunno if I can do that, I still lack practical skills to find work, let alone advertising it. Actually, I'm still learning basic python syntaxes. I got lucky to be working until now.>>34584794>>34584797>Also, what manner of job is it? Creative? Technical?AI training (generalist, coding, multilingual, you name it) and some other gigs i can find on plebbit.
>>34584923>AI training Ohhhh. So you're calling yourself a freelancer but don't actually have any marketable skills I see the issue now. Yeah I can see how that would make you anxious. For a little while I was doing really bad and was dependent on making enough per day on online surveys to pay my basic expenses and it was really stressful because it was completely out of my control. If you were a freelancer with a skill you might have built up some clients or word of mouth over the past 8 months but you're not a real freelancer you're just one in the sense that you're willing to accept shittier jobs than most. You're right to be worried they could shitcan you at any time.
>>34584941I mean it's not that bad, I work like 2 hours a day and still make a lot all things considered. It's freelance in the sense that I'm not guaranteed to have work to do today, or tomorrow for that matter, but in the sense of looking for clients, advertising, and that kinda stuff, nah. I do wanna get there in the future yes, which is why i'm trynna learn how to code.
>>34584629Are you a cute femboy or tranny? You could start an OnlyFans and/or escort.
>>34584947Do you like coding?
I know too little about it, was just studying a bit of syntaxes just an hour ago, but yeah, from the little I know about it I'm already liking it a lot.
