27M from the UK. I've been a NEET for almost 10 years. I flunked my GCSEs and didn't finish college. I have virtually no work history apart from some volunteer work I did on and off throughout 2019 and 2020. Every job I've managed to get since then, I've left within a week because of severe social anxiety.I'm at a point where I seriously need to get my shit together or risk ending up homeless. How do I best approach something like this? Is it worth lying on my CV about my work experience and education to increase my chances of getting an interview? I just need a way to get past the shitty AI screening systems. Do employers actually do background checks for minimum wage jobs?
>>34592946Most minimum wage jobs do not check because they do not care, totally fine lying, best strategy is to lie about the dates of employ for a job you actually did have
>>34592946This was me about 2 months ago. Just lie about how long you were working at a verifiable job. They aren't going to call your work place from 5-10 years ago to verify. Fill in the blanks with bullshit about taking night classes and being "self employed" (they won't ask).I've been a neet for about 6 years. Managed to get a job at the local retail spot offloading trucks about 2 weeks ago. Currently considering applying as a teller at a bank once I save a bit of money bc more stable hours + it looks better than being a 29yo slop stocker. Also better entry level pay.
>>34592946Sigh
>>34592946Just get on welfare.
>>34592946>employers actually do background checks for minimum wage jobs?only criminal record
