Am I wrong for ignoring a friend because his drug use bothers me?>be me>hanging out with my friend 2 months ago at his place because he wanted to fuck around making music>he is a NEET and lives in an apartment with his baby mama and baby>we smoke a bit(outside) and drink a beer>his homie pulls up and says he brought a bag>my friend looks embarrassed and goes in the other room with him>every five minutes he tells me he is gonna go pee but is obviously snorting coke in the other room>he is talking my ear off and his jaw is doing a disgusting grinding back and forth in weird directions as he talks>all while his baby is in the same room>I stay for another few minutes and gtfoHe keeps hitting me up and I have not opened his messages since. I know i might be a hypocrite because I like weed(it legal here) and alcohol occasionally but I find coke to be absolutely fucking disgusting. Seeing him tweaking out in the same room as his son really disturbed me as well. Should I tell him that what he did bothered me? He hits me up a lot and I dont really have a lot of people show much interest in hanging out with me. However I am 25 and just started a professional job, I dont want this shit to rub off on me. I have been friends with a dude who became a h addict before and I do not want to repeat that again.

no youre not wrong, ive stopped talking to a long time friend years ago because of his coke addiction. its turned him into a total loser and theres really nothing i can do to change that. at least you're aware that being around people like that can have an effect on you subconsciously. Surround yourself with people who are going places in life. its hard to cut people out of your life, especially friends you've known for a long time but its necessary for your own benefit.
