Do love interests really hate it when you talk to them like this? I can't help it I'm shy :(
>>34598605Anyone would hate it. If you're giving one word answers it makes it feel like you're not interested in the conversation. It feels like an interrogation where one person is asking the questions and the other one is answering yes/no.
>>34598611so what do I do?
>>34598616Engage in the conversation more. Make it your rule to not give a one word answer.
>>34598616Ask a question back for starters. Do you really have zero curiosity about this person? If so why are you even responding?
>>34598616answer the fucking question with the same depth, match their depth before its over between you, you utter fucking retardgod i hate dry texters like you
>>34598621>>34598622>>34598623bros I have social anxiety
>>34598625The only way to overcome social anxiety is by exposing yourself to the situations you're afraid of
>>34598631replying in monosyllabics is exposure too. I'm not capable of being more talkative, the only other option is ghosting and never talking to anyone
>>34598633Then never talk to anyone for all I care. You wanted advice, I gave you advice. It's on you what you do with it.
>>34598633>I'm not capable of being more talkative,You are, you just don't want to try. I mean, you're communicating in multiple syllables with us, on here, right now. Why can't you do that with someone you actually like?
>>34598649because you're racist retards and I don't care what you think
>>34598655Sure. But you are much less interested in us than you are in a potential love interest, so there must be things you would like to know about a potential love interest that you aren't interested in asking us...? Maybe that's something you could about? It's not a question of "hating" one-word replies, it's that one-word replies send a strong message that you don't actually want to talk to the person, and you're putting the absolute minimum possible effort into it that you can because they're not important to you.
>>34598662you don't have to convince me that being quiet is bad. you're supposed to give me advice on how to make it work anyway
>>34598669It won’t work. You don’t want to put in the effort. Enjoy your life and wasted time!
>>34598605Man I would skip girls like that so hard. They are texting a bunch of dudes thinking they're hot shit, you're the lowest tier nigger to them. As soon as you identify that the girl you're texting is that girl, stop giving her attention in your heart. She's not yours. And never will be. She's a selfish woman who only thinks about herself. Many such cases.
>>34598669You are literally asking for advice on how to make a romantic relationship work when you never talk to the person you're in a relationship with. There *isn't* any way to make that work. If you want advice on how to get more comfortable talking to someone, we might be able to help with that. But you're asking for something impossible.
man, so much negativity in this thread.I regret posting it
>>34598718>posts a thread>asks for advice>is given advice>refuses to listen to the advice>"why are you so mean? :("I'm starting to think that even if you replied with longer texts no one would want to talk to such a stubborn person anyway.
>>34598605yes. i only ever do this when i think someone is dumb or doesn't deserve my likeness.>I'm shy :(AKA i can't talk like a humancan't care less to diagnose and differentiate. people like this are free to match with their own, and see how that works out cause i don't care.>>34598622>why are you even responding?they play lots of mind games, but some are just plain stupid. got sent a "then don't send me any more messages hahah" the other day when i hadn't even started that chat and was just trying to figure things out, no follow up questions either. blocked with a smile.
>>34598605>>34598616>>34598669>>34598655I have social anxiety too. I can hardly bring myself to interact with people I'm not familiar with, and I always struggle to know what to say, but I do try to talk and develop conversations, since I am aware that giving one-word replies is usually seen as a lack of interest in conversation. You need to relax and try to speak more freely. Rather than seeing the person as something you desire, try seeing them as a friend, or a member of your family, in the sense of being someone you either enjoy talking to, or are familiar with.I know it's easier said than done, we often fear screwing things up and saying the wrong thing, but speaking in one word only is already sort of the wrong thing anyway, so just try and develop your conversations more.
>>34598616End the conversation.
>>34598625You are not anxious. You do not actually care about the other person and just want to fuck them.
>>34598605Yes, it’s maddening. I wouldn’t treat someone I disliked the way that these lazy, non-committal and selfish people tend to treat their orbiters. Breadcrumbing is evil.
>>34598718Nigger
>>34598625So do I. Except I have put in the hours to desensitize myself enough to have a somewhat normal conversation.Practice pretending not to be socially awkward until you stop feeling quite so socially awkward.
>bro I have trauma>bro I'm anxious>bro I'm busy sometimesBro you just don't give a shit about them.Everyone has these problems, and people still make time for the ones they care about.
>>34598625Life isn't all about you little nigga, other people are also suffering.
>>34598669>make it work anywayyou make it work by spreading your legs to casual flings because thats all you might be good for
