My mom passed away last month, I can't cover the funeral costs or afford the house payments since I have no job and can't work. Mom paid for her grave site but didn't leave any money for her funeral. I made a gofundme but nobody is donating. I have no friends, spent most of my life isolated at home now I don't know what to do. How do I get gofundme to work and people to actually see it?
>>34608231Sorry to hear, but if you made a GoFundMe, it should be visible for some people. Can be that people who has seen doesn't want to donate. Anyway sorry for your loss.
>>34608231Try sharing your story on X and Facebook with a link to your gofundme.
>>34608238>>34608241Thank youI don't want to spam up this site or something. I appreciate you
>>34608231Good luck anon, not just with the funeral, but with your life going forward. Do you have any plans? (Army, etc)
>>34608231Look up charities in your area. There are some that will cover funeral expenses
>>34608231Genuinely don't know what I would do in this situation. Do you have a dad?AIbot said this >Practical things someone in that position should do:>Contact the funeral home directly and explain inability to pay. Funeral homes often:>reduce services,>offer payment plans,>know local charities/churches,>or help apply for county burial assistance.>Call the county social services office immediately. In many places there are:>emergency assistance programs,>indigent burial/funeral aid,>eviction prevention,>utility relief,>SNAP/food aid,>Medicaid/disability screening.>If the parent owned the house:>contact the mortgage servicer before missing payments,>ask about hardship options, forbearance, or assumption issues,>figure out whether there’s life insurance, >survivor benefits, or estate assets.>If they “can’t work” because of mental or physical illness:>apply for disability benefits,>get documentation from doctors/clinics,>connect with case management services.>Reach out to weak ties, not just “friends.”>People in isolation often think:>“I have nobody.”>But weak ties count:>cousins,>former classmates,>neighbors,>church members,>online communities,>local mutual aid groups.>If using GoFundMe:>the campaign needs:>a concrete breakdown of costs,>proof/updates,>real names and relationships,>sharing through communities that actually know the person.
>>34608340My dad passed away in 2021 I have nobody. Just my mom's house, it's paid off but I have no way to pay the utilities or taxes
>>34608673How old are you? Are you physically able?
>>34608231>I can't cover the funeral costsdirect cremation
>>34608231if you murder someone or get murdered or get your expensive lego collection stolen you will get gofundme bucks.
>>34608231Talk to your (her) church, which may have funds for this sort of thing. Ask the funeral director if they know of charities that can help. In a pinch, work out an affordable payment plan with the funeral director.
>>34608340>burn all your bridges trying to pay for something completely frivilous!AI truly is retarded.OP you don't need to pay a single cent, they don't just let corpses rot in a bag.Let them take care of it, it's what society owes us after taking away our ability to just burn the stiff in the backyard.
