I feel defenseless. What if someone tries to break into my home. I need something. I can't have a gun due to mental health stuff. Should I buy pepper spray?

If you spot them, they flee because they know cops are probably on their way. Drug addicts will do anything to avoid being arrested. Home invasions are actually pretty rare, and when it happens its usually a planned out mission that occurs when your away.That being said, if you are in that rare scenario where your home during a break in, any wielded weapon will usually provide enough resistance for them to give up and run. Even a shovel as silly as it sounds. If your looking to actually damage a nefarious person on your property, a slingshot with lead weights is extremely deadly. Getting zoinked in the head by a 200g lead projectile will stop anyone. If your killmaxxing, nothing beats a bow and arrow. Back in the 1800's they used to call them "nigger home invasion stoppers".
