I'm looking for drugs/substances/meds that will numb the pain. I'm crying every day, I want to basically just die to end my neverending suffering. I don't want to feel like this anymore.
I tried all the normie advice and it did nothing (exercise, hobbies...)
Does alcohol work? I don't care that it doesn't solve my problems which are impossible to solve anyways.
>>
distance walking specifically, not just exercise
>>

what makes you sad? don't say just living, clearly some shit has happened to you.
>>

Learning to see the purpose behind the pain was what helped me. There's no such thing as useless suffering, it always points to a lesson that must be learned. So as long as you're eager to learn and grateful for the opportunity, you'll no longer see difficulties as torture and you'll actually be able to begin feeling joy in overcoming them. Drugs will never work, but meditation can.

My life sucks for very specific reasons which I can't change.
>>
Alcohol works until it doesn't. Maybe 5 years.

What you need is psychedelic intervention

t. 120 days sober
>>

>Does alcohol work?
It will make things much worse.
>>

take a heroic dose of mushrooms in the presence of a trustworthy person.

are you doing all the other things?
>high sleep quality (no food 4h before bed)
>daylight exposure first thing when you wake up
>walks in nature
>regular vigorous exercise - literally and unironically the most successful anti depressant
>nutrition deficiencies ruled out

these are much harder to do than iit seems especially when depressed so im not sure i believe you when you say you tried "all normie advice".
>>
>>34619110
accept what you can't change and do what you can then

life is stupid do whatever you could die or live forever
>>
>>34619007
alcohol is a terrible cope and is only going to make things way worse for you
try walking, go out and walk for 1.5 hours through a park; it'll actually alleviate the pain somewhat

Recovering alcoholic here. I started quite similar to you. I found alcohol as a solution for loss and depression, later discovered cocaine.
Let me tell you something. The fact that you look for a way out is what should give you hope. Looking for stuff to numb the pain is the logical thing to do. The price you pay for the numbing is addiction.
And logic always will fail against addiction.
Once you get dependent on alcohol you will see hell after hell and you will always find a new low.
I can't blame you for wanting to escape but you should know that 100% of the time, substance abuse as escapism leads to absolute catastrophe.
You can believe me or not. I lost everything and I'm forced to start a completely new life from absolute 0 with enormous risk of relapse at age 32 because when I was at your point I thought that escaping your problems was the right thing to do.
The right thing to do is solve them though and doing that with a fucked liver while being bankrupt is a lot harder than doing it sober.
I suggest cooking, hiking and some sort of art that really gets you going.
Heed my warning. You don't have to go through hell to get to heaven.
Don't start drinking.

Alcohol does not work, it makes it worse, even in the short term

walks, long distance walks, travel, meeting new people and something that I am surprised nobody mentioned - therapy
>>
There's easy no way out except trying to solve underlying problems in your life that make you more depressed.
>>34619007
drink alcohol and you will have an alchohollism problem and depression problem

>take a heroic dose of mushrooms in the presence of a trustworthy person.
Tripping solving every problem is Hippie propaganda started by fed Psychologists Alpert and Leary. It's just going to weaken you and open you to more mental illness. Yeah it worked wonders for already millionaires like Joe Rogan and Tim Ferriss big deal.

If you're a woman, fly up to my place and let's fuck till the sun goes down.

If you're a man, give me all your money.

Are you Rusky or slav? Don't do alcohol, fren.

There's these drugs that are literally called 'anti depressants' maybe you should look into that. Serotonin imbalance is a myth, but whats not a myth is the 20% reduction in depression taking SSRI's compared to controls. This will not fix you, but it will reduce how shit you feel all the time so you can start doing positive things like cleaning your room and blaaaaahh
>>
I tried lsd a few weeks ago. It felt great and I felt like I got some answers and perspectives that made me feel better. It's a unique experience that's hard to describe. Now I'm feeling the same as before. I don't think drugs will do it, anon.

>I tried all the normie advice and it did nothing
By which I assume you mean "I thought about it for a while but never actually did anything."
>>
You should be sober but if you do escape reality stick to weed only
It gives you a more positive outlook and calms you down
But I’d stick to sobriety and guided meditation
>>
>>34619007
I am intollerant to alcohol and cigarettes and weed so I guess to all drugs. What is helping me is videogames, it makes me live in the present and think less about the past and future and problems. PC building is also a hobby that can help. Socializing with people also helps but I don't know many people and I don't like to get out much. I wish I had female friends.
I was an autistic introvert traumatized by going outside and interacting with people but this has improved a lot for me, not enough though.

Also you can practice meditation which has lots of benefits, you can even learn to practice astral projection which will give you the most escapist experiences and could really change your life. If unlike me you do not have ADHD, you really can pull this off.
Also just reading books and gaining knowledge will help you by gaining a different perspective on the universe. It has helped me a lot with anxiety.

come on Anon, you don't really believe that, do you? there's no wall with a dial you can turn from 80% depressed to 60% depressed. it's a meaningless result. it's dr shekelstein guiding desperate grad students who want their psychology or chemistry degrees to count through p hacking and surviving the publish or perish world of academia. it has nothing to do with producing real pharmaceuticals that actually help anyone

This man speaks the unbridled truth. Suffering expands perception, perception expands awareness.

I came back from the grave after decades of alcohol, drugs, depression and suicidal attempts/thoughts. They all just help to run away from the root of the problem.

Sit with the darkness. Meditation works. Silence is the voice of God. Forever Jung!

At least you're not a jeet,right?
