there's only one thing that'll work. just start. you won't ever feel ready with the state you are in now. i know cuz i have been in this state (doomscrolling, gaming and smoking and sleeping all day). wake up and start right away, do not do anything "bad" before you have done some amount of work. desu, if you stick to doing the work for at least 1-2 hours, thats when it gets easier. the first 1-2 hours, at least to me, are the friction period, try to focus, but feel like i am not actually getting anything done, but only after that my mind finally settles in and i start coasting.
