How do people get into relationships? I am in my mid 20s, and I've never had a girlfriend or boyfriend. I am not even ugly, some people think I am handsome or cute, and even get surprised when they know I have been in a relation. I am not completely socially retarded either, but for some reason, I don't know how this things happen, I look at how my friends get into relationships, and it seems to happen almost spontaneously.

I work in an office, go to the gym, run at the river, and go to a guitar class throughout the week, I am not socially isolated. However I hardly meet any women my age doing these things. I could go out to the bars on weekend nights but I find work stressful and cold approaching is not a good way for me to relax lol. I am pretty fucking awful at making good first impressions as well so idk, it does feel quite hopeless at times. I have been trying to hang out in social spaces more but I feel like I need to stop being such a fucking pussy and start to cold approach more or else im gonna never feel the touch of a woman again. Maybe im just subconsciously avoidant.

Making a good impression should be the default and take less energy than the making a bad impression.BTW, you don't really have to "cold approach." The women I've met at bars have been friends of friends or friends of friends of friends. Cultivate a group of friends and acquaintances. Yes, this takes time. There's no instant cheat code. Life isn't a vidya game. But you are going to spend that time dancing, playing pool, drinking, doing other things.

You go out of your way to comment shit and sit next to the girl you think is attractive. Talk circumstantial bullshit, if you're a happy person tell things you think are funny. Hang out, force her out of her inertia path with invitations to pass time between classes. Within 2 weeks of meeting, ask her to go out. Once she agrees she has given you permission to leer at her and tell her how attractive you think she is. Make physical contact, using games or flirt or any playful performance. If she is allowing kiss her and you're officially dating.Of course I'm a spineless virgin and this is how it plays out in my mind. All I have done is dump them information about my life and asked personal information, to which next time they see me as another quirky classmate.
