Getting to know another girl right now. I have two questions. If her girl friends/siblings/other boys/parents/etc. try to dissuade her into going out with me, from envy and whatnot, is there anything I can come across as to disprove that, where she won't listen to them? I know I can't change them, and I wouldn't care. I can ignore them, but I don't know if the same can be said about her. I've been told previously by another date that I seem like a person with ulterior motives (she was damaged goods, I didn't know until I knew her more).I know nice guys don't get girls, but whenever I'm loud and assertive, I feel that I'm coming of as being scary. To me, being genuine is a good character trait, and it's hard finding someone who values that. What's the good middle ground for this?
