I just finished a year at the hardest academic track available, at one of the most rigorous schools in my country, with straight A's. The only issue is that I'm really fucking burnt out, like at the level of feeling no pleasure whatsoever and procrastinating even ahead of the easiest tasks. Yet, I need to keep moving at full efficiency because acceptance to top universities is extremely competitive, so getting ahead of the curve is not optional if I want to have a future in this fucked up economy. How fast can I possibly recover from burnout and how do i?
>>34635729Never look for rest in pleasure or fun, because pleasure and fun aren't restorative. Rest should consist of peace and calm. Learn how to meditate.

>>34635729You said the fastest way, not the sanest. So this is it: Do you have a windowless room that is relatively soundproof? Go in there, lights out. Total sensory deprivation. See how long you can stay there. Make sure you are well rested so you don’t fall asleep. You will relax, then you get bored, eventually your brain starts to panic and really urges you to get out. When this happens just stay a bit longer, you will lose your sense of time so dont aim for a time, but eventually the panic wave fades and you will come down again. Then you can go out. Don’t go to your phone or devices immediately. Take it very slow. Take time to think. Observe your surroundings. This will fix it. Can take somewhere from an hour to a day though
