What are the best ways to lie on your resume?

I've been NEETing for the past 6 months, my last job being a part-time retail gig that I left at the end of last year.

I'm trying to get into sales, angling for tech sales in the longer run.

Help a nigga out.

You make your shit sound far more verbose:
>retail worker = customer facing sales assistant
>stacking shelves = managing product stock rotation and management
>dealing with bitch customers = experience in deseclative strategies

You get the picture. I used to run a mail a room for a company and I made that become "back office administrator for material correspondence and documentation". Will it work in your case? Maybe not, but it will better than just saying you're a failed wagie.

This, you just gotta make the small time bullshit you did seem way grander on paper. I did warehouse for 3yrs, just bullshit, but I put on my resume that I have logistics experience that's short of supervisory roles. Hell I even lie and say I have a degree, which I don't. In my opinion so long as I get the job, I dont care about any bullshit they want to want to hear to hire me.

And this works out for you?

How long were you at it? Depending on how long you were working you can say you left and was unimployed due to an issue in your family like a relative with failing health, helping in the care of a sibling/niece/nephew etc etc. If you worked for less than a year you're better off starting small again with a part time gig for 2 years. Sounds fucking awfull but 2 years is usually a healthy sign for resume exaimers that you are not going to flunk after a year. Even if it's part time like once or twice a week with you half neeting and an interviewer probes you on it you can just say you want to make a start working in a more stable or serious working enviroment and you think that the job you're applying for is the one (work hours don't matter, they just want to know they are not going to waste money putting you through induction, training and probation only for you to only actually work for 6 months).

-Don't lie, but exaggerate. Did you ever show anyone how to do anything? "In charge of training new staff"

-Extend any job a few months at either end

-An unemployed gap of up to 6 months can be left unexplained. If they ask, you were Job Hunting
