Because my mind always anticipates boring bullshit is about to happen and I feel obligated to stop whatever it is in doing to go perform the social monkey dance for them. I prefer it when people just say whatever they want to say without the gay social pageantry. Which is why I enjoy autists, because they don't like it either and feel relieved when I tell them they are free to not maintain eye contact and are free to just rant about whatever they feel like.
