what do you say when you've been thinking what to say and nothing came to mind for over 15 seconds?
>>34641096>"Say, isn't it funny, all this [something in your vicinity]? What's with all the [something in your vicinity]?"
"hmm"
>>34641096Nothing. It is not obligatory to fill every passing silence.
>>34641394yes it is, specially if the other person has asked something and it's expecting you to reply
>>34641096sorry im not used to talk to real people so my answers are a bit slow
>>34641096I don't know what to sayI usually just default to the truth
>>34641504you can't say that kind of stuff without shaming yourself>>34641575what truth? if they say "I'm exhausted of going to the gym every day" there is no truth. the only thing that goes through my mind is "I understand what you're saying"
>>34641096Honestly I just say the first thing that pops into my head or I just ask some random question. Like, "What was your favorite book/show/whatever when you were still in school?" after that, ask what it's about, then ask what they liked about it. Active listening bruh. People love talking about themselves, and they somehow never seem to notice how stilted questions like that seem.
>>34641096Say gibberish very softly so they ask you to repeat yourself. This buys you time to think of something to actually say
