anyone have a fulfilling childhood and teen life and college life? whats it like? as you get older do you look back on it fondly?
>>34645661I was glad to have the memories, but I am also happy that I’m an adult now. I see all of those moments as a stepping stone towards my situation now. I’m happily employed and my life is still fulfilling.I’m not super popular but I have friends and do things that I feel good about. I don’t wish I could go back to my life before adulthood, if that’s what you’re getting at.
>>34645804that's how it should be, childhood is wonderful but it's not some paradisal lost perfection but something that gradually gives way to the greater freedom and the ability to handle it responsibly of adult life.my parents wanted me to have a 'happy childhood' free of worries with the result that I had to do all my growing up on my own. and my childhood wasn't even happy. funny how that works.
