>>34647435I personally don't think it'd work very well, your brain would probably send signals to your arms to instinctively rip the bag open as soon as you started running low on oxygen. The reason why hanging works is that constriction on the carotid artery causes you to pass out within a few seconds. I haven't looked into suffocation at all but any method that gives your brain enough time to react for the survival instinct to kick in is going to be much harder to pull off. The only thing I'd be worried about is brain damage from losing oxygen if you survive.
