To make a long story short, my girlfriend's grandmother is in the hospital. And her father has been openly excited about the fact she might die, because then he'll inherit her property, and he also wants to kill her dog for some reason. Today, he got into the grandmother's safe, and started reading the will out loud, while she's still alive. He then threatened her "If you tell (grandma) I did this, I'm leaving you nothing when I die" Mind you, the dad's also an abusive asshole who physically and verbally torments her. So this should've been expected behavior from him. I've never felt such visceral hate for a person before, and I'm just at a loss of how to deal with this, or what to suggest to my girlfriend on what to do.
You want to marry the gf?Obviously route would be to have her tell on her father, adopt the dog and become main inherent.
>>34650347That was what I told her at first, but she seems convinced that nothing will come out of telling the grandmother what her father did.
>>34650334if you are not larping (1% possibility) please get that dog in a foster or something
>>34650360Anon, I wish I was larping.
>>34650362I just want to let you know the cruelty of people who hate dogs. Take it seriously. They will kill them with poison, it happens people poison their neighbors dogs and crap. Please get the dog in a good home away from the father. I'd take the dog myself but you are randoms on the internet from who knows where.
>>34650334What exactly did he do? He read the will. Unlike detective stories, it is not normally a secret. My parents have told us what's in their wills, and everyone is happy with it.He becomes blame-worthy only if he tries to ignore or change the will - and presumably there is a copy in her lawyer's files to keep him from doing that.
>>34650359I mean yeah what's the grandmother going to do get her lawyer to visit her in the hospital so she can change the will?Don't stress out the elderly woman currently in a hospital bed, bad idea.
