What I've studied is something I no longer enjoy. I somehow managed to finish my undergraduate, but doing postgraduate is almost necessary to get a job. However, I've lost all interest in what I've studied. I don't know if I'd be happy pursuing this for the rest of my life. If I change careers, I'd be considered a weirdo by my peers. I'm 26. Is this too late? Should I stick to what I've been doing or do something I'd enjoy? But I'm not sure what I could do, what I could like, or if I'd be happy in it. I'm in a very confused state. One part tells me I'm too old to change, the other reminds me how unhappy I am and will continue to be.
>>34708746Lets say you changed course and get something you'll genuinely enjoy. You will be 30 yo old by then. But again, lets say you kept doing the shitty thing you chose when your brain wasnt even formed, you will be still 30 yo by that time. Its going to sound crazy but... its your life. Money is just paper and your reality is just electrical pulses in your meat jar. Be happy, no matter how sad it will make you.
>>34708746>If I change careers, I'd be considered a weirdoIn fact only about 25% of grads wind up working in the same field as their studies. And the typical person changes jobs 5 times in a lifetime and entire career paths once.Meanwhile, your studies were not a waste. You got to immerse yourself in something that you were interested in at the time, and now you can go immerse yourself in something else.
