I am 21yo and a neet. Last year I was in the adf for about 2 months in the basic training but I dropped out because I'm too pussy to put up with corporal's abuse 25 hours per day. I had wanted to be in infantry since age like 15 but I decided in one week to give up that's how weak I am. Then I applied for Victoria police for almost a year until they recently rejected me because they didn't like my online psychometric test apparently. The only reason I wanted to be in the police is because I thought I might get a bit of social respect from others similar to the military. Yes I am a bit conceited idc. Now I am just neeting it up off my parents and they are busting my balls about jobs or whatever and going to university or travelling or some shit. I have no interest in any of that and I basically just want to play cs until I kill myself in a few years but until then I need to have a way to sufficiently appease them that I'm doing "enough". Does anybody know what the easiest way for me to do this would be? I am done with putting in effort.
you could probably make a living bitching about your miserable life to strangers online (see: Jett Franzen).
>>34712247Just money isn't the issue. I need my parents to see that I am living in a proper way by their standards. Think self improvement shill boomer who wants me to go on holiday, learn skills, social life, stupid things like that. If I can give the impression of this without really doing it that would be perfect.
>>34712254have you tried joining ICE kek. Seriously tho, have you tried like other stuff that's up your alley, like walmart security guard.
>>34712263I live in Australia. I can see your viewpoint but I think I would prefer to just allow myself to give up. Bedsides I don't think I could handle going through any more layers of degradation from my original goal of being an action hero everyone thinks is the coolest person alive.
Have you considered becoming a bouncer?
>>34712287sorry about that.
>>34712208The reason why people want you to make an effort is because they want the best for you. At least recognize this. We all hate putting in effort but you have to at least try to see that everything valuable in life can be replaced by a comfortable substitute that is infinitely less fulfilling. Effort isn't the enemy, comfort is.
>>34712208Sounds like you want to live a double life and eventually become a family annihilator like Chandler Halderson. I advise against it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chandler_HaldersonOther guys with this MO go to the pub all day while telling their families they’re at work.
>>34713167Other notable examples are Jennifer Pan, Chris Watts, and John List. But Halderson is the one that told his parents he was attending university and that he had a job working from home for Space X, when really he was playing video games all day. He just made up lie after lie and eventually he started forging proofs to back up his lies. When his parents would ask to see the money he was making, he’d say there was a mistake with the payroll and he had to wait for the company to sort it out. He’d make fake emails from fake professors. He said he was gonna fly out to the other side of the country to go build space rockets, then he pretended to fall down the stairs. He got the hospital to give him a neck brace because he said his neck hurt, then he lied and told his parents that the doctors said he couldn’t fly because of his neck injury, and he had to miss the flight that he never had tickets for and miss the job he’d never been hired by. One common opinion on these types is that they become so committed to the bit that they wind up doing more work than whatever normal thing they were initially trying to avoid doing. It starts small and simple, but they never have a longterm plan, it’s always one lie leading into the next. Their whole lives get consumed by the lie. The pressure builds and builds, and they always get their backs against a wall eventually, and then they snap and kill their families. It’s not long after they’re arrested.
>>34712208Anon you sound like a miserable person. I advice you to let go off your police/military aspirations and instead focus on learning entrepreneurial skills. Here is a nice Aussie channel for self improvement: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Hwr4v7yC48
>>34712208Do some BS online university thing. Or just take courses on coursera and schedule some certification tests and act like you are going into IT or some shit
