Have any UK anons faked a job reference before? How did you do it? Should I ask family or friends to pretend to be a former employer? Should I make up a fake business that recently shut down? Will any jobs I apply to accept gmail or hotmail emails as job references? I was thinking of making up a window cleaning company, a small company of 4 or 5 employees that recently shut down, will reference checkers be suspicious that such a company doesn't have an online presence and can I just claim that we recently shut down and closed down our website as an excuse?
>>34712675>Have any UK anons faked a job reference before? Not sure why you're specifying the uk I'm pretty sure everyone globally fakes their job references but yeah, You just put your parents/friends/siblings/aunt/uncle anyone you know's phone number down on the application and tell them to either make up a business or if any of them own/run one just tell them to say you worked for them in the past.
>>34712750>Not sure why you're specifying the ukI read online that HR in the UK are harsher on job references, I'm reading things like HR reverse looking up phone numbers to check if they match names, I'm worried that HR will google the name of the window cleaning company I made up, see that there's nothing online about it, and discover my lie, even when I say that the business recently closed down and scrubbed their info from the internet.
>>34712675>not a single white guyUK is probably worse than Sweden at this point
>>34712781I got any random image from google search when searched 'job reference', it's from an Australian website apparently
>>34712778even if they do reverse search it the worst that will happen is that they give you a rejection email or dont respond to your application in which you just move on
>>34712786I see, but I want to quickly know if my lie doesn't work so I can change my CV before applying to other jobs
