My wife is 6m postpartum and she had no interest in sex anymore. I knew it might happen but obviously I’m very sexually frustrated. Are there any new dads here with some advice? How to handle this situation?

6m was just barely when I started thinking about sex after baby so maybe she's close.Make anything baby related easier for her - do the night feeds, change the diapers. Do the dishes, fold the clothes. Basically take as much off of her plate.Throughout the day subtle flirting - compliment her, do old inside jokes - make her feel desired/remember old times.Third, ask her. Have a discussion about what her hold ups are.4th, doctor appt to check her thyroid/CBC levels. They probably did at her 8 week check up but it doesnt really hurt and it's basic bloodwork. If thats normal and the low libido persists then maybe a hormone check?

And then she's still dealing with a 2 year old, and even if you are too, it's specifically women's brains rewire to caretaker mode, which is really hard to switch out of for sex, and caring for infants and young children literally suppresses libido. It's all totally biologically normal for her to not want sex, and to even be sex averse. Like the namefag said, hang in there, don't pressure her, and help out a lot, especially by the end of the day. Little acts of romance, take over the kid's bedtime routine, can help. Love her, not with the expectation of sexual reward.
I kept asking for sex after the baby. Now the husbando can't sleep because we have two tiny babies.
