I'm not a rock expert, but that rock girl anime inspired me to go innawoods, found some interesting rocks that seemed fun to crack, most of them being very easy to do; however, this one at least was difficult to smash, and even my chisel had some difficulties opening it up, but to the naked eye, it gives off a glimmering glint, and I brought it home, and it is slightly magnetic. What do I do know?
Almost certainly not man. Any number of minerals could make it glint and glimmer.>what do i doIdentify it if you want and then put it back outside, what?
mann bist du blöde oidakräuter in feldern
>>34723120Well, to provide more information it's from what I understand an igneous rock, lava rock from the Rocky Mountains; however, I sent the local college an email seeing if they might help, and if I'm really lucky might be able to make money, if not still a fun pass time.
>>34724795>igneous rockNot going to contain gold.
>>34724901>Not going to contain gold.Yeah no shit dumb ass, but hear me out. While my speech might be a bit outdated, even though there's a possibility for fool's gold, as in this shit might not literally be gold, there is a possibility that some industrial business, or electronic sector, might be willing to buy, since even if it's just silica, or even silver, yeah. It might be economically profitable for some guy miles away from where I live.>pic somewhat related>That feel when no Nagi girlfriend to help us both economically prosper, and sell rocks together
how do you find gold and silver veins and shit like this? My friends family has like 5 square miles of land I was telling him we should at least try to check it for gold or silver or something
>>34726810Having a decent understanding of rock history, or geology, and various other factors can help, like for example if you're near a volcano has the potential to yield results if you look at pre-historic timelines, and not to mention like lava flow, and a bunch of other thing's; however, remember that you still need to crack rocks, flake them, or look for hard rocks that are difficult to crack, like for example a hard rock has more potential for valuable resources, and other rocks might just be simple mundane ones, but basically smash rocks, bring a chunk home, and do research.
>>34726698again, not in that sort of rock. you might find gems but you'd instantly recognize if you found a significant gem worth anything to anyone just by sight
>>34727158I recognize a glint, if that helps, but then again. I could be wrong. I appreciate the replies.
Son of a bitch it's just vesicular basalt!
