Actually an ethical question. If I have a product I can't return because i have had it a while and don't have packaging, is it ethical to buy a new version and return the old one with the new paperwork. This thing should be warntied but it isn't. It's also in basically new condition it just shit the bead. I'll end up with two of them but that's also ok.
>>34726240It's not ethical, but you might get away with it. It depends if the packaging mentions the serial number.
>>34726260People put rocks inside returned 5080s boxes and they don't check it. Even if there is a serial number, they'll just check the item at most being inside. I wouldn't worry about it being ethical. It's too small to even matter.
>>34726240Do you honestly believe you should get it replaced? Will you get more out of it than is what's fair?I think if something is a lemmon and you lose the packaging you should not have to buy a new one to replace the old one.It feels unethical because you are being deceptive not because you are taking things unfairly.
>>34726240Sell the old one.
Don't do it. Ethics aside, if you mess with the stores too much you'll end up with the problem of everything closing in your neighborhood. Certain demographics in the us are experiencing the phenomenon today.>>34726630This.
>>34726649Returning one item that is broken and buying a new one.It might be the whitest thing a person could do.
like all business ethics: Mom+pop store - leave them alone unless they're deeply fucked uphuge soulless corporation - rip them off however much and as frequently as you want
>>34727166Still going to coast me 60 bucks.
>>34726240My dumb ass just realized I can get a refund if I want and not just a replacement. Saves me the money and I get the item in a working state. Now is that a different situation?
