I posted this story a few months ago here, this is an update I guess, basically I knew him three years ago in an international trip, I don't look my age so he asked for my contact, he also doesn't look his age so I gave it to him, we messaged each other for two years until i came back to his country to study since last year, so we've been going out on dates for these last months, I still haven't told him my age, he probably thinks im 23 or something around that, we had our first kiss a month ago, and today he confessed me that he wants to marry me, he didn't asked me "properly" with a ring and everything but he told me its something he's had in his mind for some time now, what should I do? im being serious, I need advice, im trying to not let it get to my head but its so hard to ignore,
You didn't give any details. Do you want to marry him? Do you know where you would live? What about your career plans? It sounds like you live in different countries.
>>34728788im not sure if I want to marry him, he is a nice person, good job, but the age difference is a lot, im going to study my career in his country, yes we live in different countries, even continents
>>34728786Seems like a good dude. He didn't rush for sex sex sex and was respectful despite age gap he seems like he could be a secure man to marry. That said, you lied about your age and it is going to be revealed if you continue dating him or marry him. Legal documents need to be signed and if you falsify your age on them, you're fucked. You get deported if you're foreign or you get legal fines. So you will have to write down your actual age, and he finds out one way or the other.Your best bet is to tell him about your age now. No idea why you lied but I will assume it's because you wanted to win his attraction by presenting yourself as more mature and relationship ready than you actually are. If your fear if he will cut contact after finding out your real age, he probably won't because he understands you're adult now. And since he didn't engage in sex with you when you were underage legally, whatever romance you two shared back then would count as a "Romeo and Juliet clause". Which means neither of you sexually exploited the age dynamic and on the surface it would appear you chose to wait until the appropriate age. But you need to tell him your actual age before you even think of forming a reply to his proposal. That way he can assess if he wants to marry or not.Chances are he will want to slow down the marriage proposal and get to know you better to see what's true and what's false about you. Which is good because rushing into marriage is retarded especially if half of it was built on a lie. You can just tell him the truth and then rebuild our of that and see where it goes
>>34728792Don't marry him for now. You need to love together with someone for some time first.
