Official diagnosis is anxiety disorder and autism, and I have been assigned SSRis. At no point were any issues or side-effects mentioned however. So they do seem to work for anxiety and remove that creeping sense of dread, but also my sex drive is cut by 3/4. Will it ever return? Now I'm insanely cynical about the medical field and therapists since they know fuck all about how to handle autism at all and just fling meds at the problem. I have been off them for nearly 2 months now, and my sex drive hasn't really returned.
>>34730478I LOVE SSRIS (they ruined my sex life forever)
>>34730478>but also my sex drive is cut by 3/4I actually liked not getting random erections and whatnot, but I'm a KHHV, so it's not like I have any use for "sex drive" anyway.
>>34730496what's KHHV?
>>34730478Get a second opinion. Also , anxiety is proven to be treatable by cognitive behavioural therapy aka little by littel exposing yourself until anxiety goes down.Secondly, Autism is overdiagnosed like crazy as it basically gets slapped on everyone who is a bit socially awkward or anxious.SSRIs for your disorders is breaking a fly on a wheel. Not matter what, the side effects are most likely not worth it, and your doctors not even mentioning them is dodgy as fuck. Seems they are the Opiates of the 2020s. >I have been off them for nearly 2 months now, and my sex drive hasn't really returned. It can take a long time. SSRIs mess with your brain on a fundemental level.
>but also my sex drive is cut by 3/4please continue to take them. it's better this way for everyone around you
>>34730514i have bad news for you, since I have been donating to sperm clinics for ages. Handsome tall 6'1 Anglo on the surface. Sperg on the inside. Dozens of women all over the world have been raising my children. >>34730512>Also , anxiety is proven to be treatable by cognitive behavioural therapy aka little by littel exposing yourself until anxiety goes down. That doesn't sound like CBT, that sounds like exposure therapy. Most the therapy has been unguided and just seems like I should wing it. No structure to anything.
>>34730507It means that I'm a virgin who has never experienced any form of physical intimacy (kissing/hugging/holding hands) in my 27 years on this bitch of an Earth.
>>34730530i'm so sorry. i had a gf one time. it was nice.
I have been obsessing over to defeat anxiety and its so fucking grim bro. I cannot find a way that even works in theory besides obliterating half of your amygdala. Literally nothing else really works. Yes you can use exposure therapy on like a specific phobia which could take you YEARS for one phobia. But in a generalized sense fucking nothing is worth a shit as far as I can tell. SSRIs are actually one of the strongest solutions and they objectively cannot be very good as we live in a society where they are passed around like candy and we have the highest anxiety levels possible at the same time. I am close to just taking the alcoholic pill as it is easy and does work for a few years until your brain completely get fried.
>>34730525CBT is literally exposure therapy lil bro. They just repackage it and use some different language. The newst meme is "fear extinction" which also is just exposure therapy directly from pavlov. Now that I think about it pavlov was the only psychology fag who ever figured out a single fucking thing.
>>34730566I haven't gotten that. It's mostly them asking questions and challenging you in a rationalist manner and letting you talk most of the time. CBT seems useful and somewhat effective, but it's limited somewhat. It's used as a bit of a cure-all, when it should be more targetted and effective. Also, 1v1 wasn't the source of my fears, so I've actually gotten very good at these over the years. But it hasn't helped in my actual areas of deficiencies.
>>34730573>>34730566I thought CBT was cock and ball torture lol
>>34730478Those drugs are no good.
>>34730478>At no point were any issues or side-effects mentionedNegligent doctor>Should I continue SSRIs?Note that different SSRIs have different side effects, and those side effects depend on the person. I was on escitalopram for two years and had no sexual side effects at all (but did get severe stomachaches).
