It seems like for the past few years basically, I'm perpetually in a state of being bored stiff or overwhelmed and anxious.I'm a 31 year old living an ok life, working as a software dev, I have a gf of 6 years, I see friends and family. I used to have other side projects burying myself in but I dropped a few.Basically everything, but for example work: my job is overall pretty comfy, mostly just left to my own shit, but then sometimes that shit hits the fan and I feel the weight of the world and I stress a lot, then the rest of the time I'm bored and coasting.More broadly I don't know what to do with myself besides work (or work on projects etc). Even bigger things like traveling which I do a couple times a year ends up somehow not living up, or it's stressful to get my ducks in a row before it.Today work was minimal and I was working from home so I could do anything but I didn't really do anything... I watched nonsense on youtube, I considered playing games but didn't play any, etc...Bored or overwhelmed and anxious, not a lot between. Genuinely don't know what I'm living for because I'm either stressed out or have nothing I want to do.I've been considering quitting my job because I don't even really need the money right now (I'm very frugal) and I feel like I'm in a total rut. But what would I do if I quit? I don't want anything. Fuck man.
relationships have 6 year intervalsyou gonna wife her or nah?
Have you ever thought about spending some time undivided alone time to really think about what you want? My life is setup similar to yours, the only thing that stops this constant gnawing feeling of existence is working on something feverishly. Is there some art you want to bring into the world? is there something from your past you miss? is there a change you wanna make in the world? you're clearly intelligent. figure out your neurosis, relax and then think about what you want to change/bring into the worldnot sure if this makes sense. i have a gf of 3 yrs and make good money as well. When im not working on my game i feel the same dread
