>have no hobbies>have no friends>cant get a job despite having a law degree from a really good university>too depressed to find anything interesting anymore>too anxious to leave the house most days>feel tired and lethargic all the timeits over for me, isn't it? ive been spiralling more and more since i was 12 years old, and there is just no way out at all. the only reason im alive is because im too much of a pussy to kill myself.
>>34736278Fuck man, you better get some hobbies quick. You gotta have hobbies or you may actually make an impact on the world or notice something.
>>34736278This I'm going to suggest is by no means a definitive solution but more like a temporary fix, and that is: be more selfish, you're thinking too much what it's expected of you to be at your age, I've given up on it and doing only and exclusively whatever the fuck I want. It's so liberating not to be beholden to anyone's expectations. Now this is in part bad life advice, but, personally it has helped me relax more the past few months
>>34736278>have no hobbiesSo get some>have no friendsSo get some>cant get a job despite having a law degree from a really good universitySo get a McJob, you've probably applied zero effort into trying to actually get a job>too depressed to find anything interesting anymoreConsidering you do absolutely nothing all day I can see why you find none of what you ever encounter interesting>too anxious to leave the house most daysAnd is that supposed to stop you? Coward>feel tired and lethargic all the timeWhich you wouldn't if you used that anxiety to actually do something instead of do nothing
>>34736278Go to a fucking psychiatrist and get on some fucking anti-depressants.Before you object with>it'll make my dick not work>I won't feel like myself>it'll make me fat>but it might make me want to kmsYou already want to die but can't kill yourself.Just take the damn drugs and you'll feel better.I'm on SSRI's, have a job, can still cum, and don't even want to die anymore. If you still don't want to be on anti-depressants then start drinking heavily. It's still be killing yourself but it's slow enough to not feel like it is and there's even a chance that people might notice you're self destructing and might step in to help after you've lost everything.Or you can end up homeless and blowing dudes for $20 and using that cash for hard drugs.I chose the anti-depressants but you do you, bro.
>>34738142>fucking anti-depressantsI'm glad there helping you but why does everyone who chooses meds feel the need to tell anyone who is struggling to just get a prescription. I'm fucking lost but when I looked into meds the side effects seemed rough and there was that recent meta study where they concluded that raising serotonin levels is a tenuous unproven link to really getting better. Not to mention thta regular exercise seems to provide a similar boost. I don't know it's been years of trying to desensitize my nervous system so I might have to just get the meds at some point soon, I just wish I knew what the right answer is, I've already lost so much time to depression and panic. It's fucking hell.
>>34738153Shit, I'm not saying they're the ultimate solution.Regular exercise is proven to improve mental health but when I was at my worst I didn't get out of bed to eat, let alone exercise. If you can actually get the motivation to run or lift daily then do that but it might not be enough or, more likely, you won't be able to keep the motivation to do it.In my opinion, the ideal solution is starting off with the drugs to get to some kind of normalcy then add in exercise and regular socialization. After doing that then any psychiatrist that is even close to being decent at their job will start lowering the dosage of your meds.Adding to all of this would be seeing a therapist once every few weeks to see how you are handling everything.Don't worry about being selective with what therapist you choose to talk with. I've gone to one that was just coasting to retirement and didn't pick up on obvious signs of autism, one that I just didn't like their demeanor, and one that was fresh out of school and was too inexperienced to help me.
>>34738163Thanks anon, kind of you to respond. I hope it's not too late to find a way out. I'm just feeling overwhelmed. Glad you're feeling better. I know I need help but my shame and health anxiety makes it difficult. I don't want to make the wrong choice, I'm afraid of somehow making things worse when I'm barely holding on as it is.

>>34738180>have no hobbies>have no friends>cant get a job despite having a law degree from a really good university>too depressed to find anything interesting anymore>too anxious to leave the house most days>feel tired and lethargic all the timeYou aren't holding on, Anon. You are slipping into the abyss unless you do something.I am only recommending what helped me but your current trajectory is not good.Once I was stable enough to keep a job, having a pet to care for helps as well. A dog or cat, not some bullshit like a fish or lizard that lives in a tank.Petting a furry animal that can demonstrate that it cares about you is great for mental health but you do need to be capable of caring for your own basic needs first. My cat was a Christmas gift. I couldn't actually take him to my apartment for an entire week because it was unlivable.I had a job but let trash pile up and let my toilet leak for months.Once I had something to love and be loved by, I finally fixed my shit.It is a process to get better. Here's the little bastard that likely saved my life but still wakes me up at 4am for the breakfast that he gets at 6am.

>>34736278>be me>live in a different city from where I grew up>finally felt like a functional adult: decent job, dating, my own place, etc.>felt like I had life figured out and everything was going well>lost my job due to layoffs>at first, I didn't think much of it and kept looking for a new job>after months, I couldn't find anything while my savings ran out>had to move back to my hometown and live with my parents again>get a shitty job repairing and maintaining printers and computers>start feeling job uncertainty as I keep sending out resumes and not getting any callbacks>when I started going out, I realized my personality was basically just my job (being a techbro) and that I didn't have a real personality>not wanting to date or have relationships with anyone because I feel like a loser for not having a car, a own place or a decent jobYeah, basically I felt like I had everything and lost it. Now I just feel like a loser who's afraid to connect with people because I feel like I have no personality or confidence after losing my previous job.
