Note that I'm autistic and only really played bowling before as a kid. It's that bleakI think I'm likeable but I always get very nervous in groups, so I’m mostly afraid of making a bad first impression or being cast aside because of thisI don't feel like going but I also know I should do an effort to seize opportunities like these to practice socialization. I'd appreciate any piece of advice, thank you
>>34762187Never going to anything youre invited to adds up in the long run. Trust me ive done it my whole life and now I regret all the opportunities Ive given up even if individually they were lame or sucked (which this probably will). Just go, you will get invited to other things just by being present, eventually youll be established and who knows at some party they invite you to maybe youll even meet a real woman. Thats how it works
This is kinda related but didnt want to make an own thread for it. New girl started at work. Shes been quite flirty with me to the point that a couple other coworkers have made comments about it along the lines of "its blatantly obvious dude". The other day she mentioned sheepishly how her dad will buy her just about anything if she asks but she doesnt always ask bc it makes her feel guilty. A few mins after she said that she pointed at a car driving by and said she really liked that car. I jokingly said "maybe your dad will buy us one when we move in together" a she said "I have a bf" and stared at me for a beat to see my reaction (I think). I didnt respond at all and then she said "im just kidding I donf have a bf". Also shes muslim and one time mid conversation we were talking about a work related thing and she blurted out "I cant date someone that isnt muslim". I was just like "ok" and continued on with our work conversation. What the fuck were these about? Was it done kind of shit test or was she politely telling me to leave her alone? If she wants me to leave her alone why is she blatantly being flirtatious with me? Attention?
>>34762199Thank you. What makes me most insecure is being surrounded by a lot of randos while I don't even have a very close relationship myself with this co-worker so I can't rely on him to make me feel safe. I think I'll ask him how many are invited and if they're not a big bunch I'll do the effort, maybe>Never going to anything youre invited to adds up in the long run. Yeah just go. It will be fine.
OFC go. its a lot of fun.if you have more than one week b4 the event, get a grip strenght trainer and train b4 hand.you are going to get sore muscles, no matter what, from throwing the ball.its pretty fun. to get a strike you need to hit the space between the foremost pin and the pin to the right. (if you are right handed and vise versa)also instead of gripping like one would grip a tennis ball, i like to grip the ball with the devil horns, aka ring, middle finger and thumb. way more comfortabler and way easier to throw the ball in direct lines and to land strikes or precise hits. also bending the knees everytime you throw, a little.gl hf

>>34762187OP Update: I did go! I was predictably awful at bowling but we had a good time regardless, and afterwards we went to have dinner and hang out together. I'm exhausted but it was a fun day.Just last night I was convinced I was going to chicken out... I am happy that I somehow mustered the courage to go>>34762199>>34762409>>34764611Thank you!!!
