The mere act of thinking a thought somehow magically makes things happen in the world around us, both in our immediate vicinity, and even in places thpusands of miles away. Does that mean a person should keep his thpughts in check and censor them whenever he feels like those thoughts might cause something bad to happen in the real world?
Bump
>>34762206Scattered thoughts cancel each other out.And often thoughts are just us picking up other people's energy. And emotional context matters too. The universe is the opposite of autistic, it knows how not to take things too literally.Cultivate your thoughts like a garden. Be patient and nurturing, and accept having dirt at the bottom is natural.
manifestation is an correlation causation illusion, you thinking about something always changes your behaviour at leat subconsiously which often leads to an beforehand imagined outcome or is in some way reminiscent of the prior thoughts which then you connect to some stupid shit like manifestation, also the imagined outcome is your brain predicting scenarios under possible circumstances and unless your brain is out of touch then the prediction is more likely then if random events had happened instead
>>34762206Even if you were to reduce the impact of your thoughts down to how they influence you and your own behavior, you should still police them, yes. There is no world in which having unregulated, and thus unwise, thoughts is an advantage to you or anyone else. It's not as if there are particular times and places in which it's appropriate to strive towards goodness. Goodness is something we ought to be chasing in all places and at all times, including within our own thoughts.
>>34763152Not OP but this is some lovely advice. Thank you.
>>34762206>The mere act of thinking a thought somehow magically makes things happen in the world around usThis isn't remotely true.
>>34762206>The mere act of thinking a thought somehow magically makes things happen in the world around us, both in our immediate vicinity, and even in places thpusands of miles awayIf only that were true.
>>34764678It is true and no, I am not a schizo.
>>34764864That's exactly what a schizo would say
It's kind of impossible.
random thoughts don't make things happen in the real world and don't shape reality. you aren't acting on every single thought you have for several reasons, one of which is for example is that there is a constant silent threat of violence from various institutions like the government. what shapes reality however, is more akin to something like believes. things people actually believe in, not just randomly think about. in that sense, why do you think it is, that so many rich people control all kinds of media channels, and therefore also control the messages that are being send out? you are constantly being bombarded with how you should think about things. things that only serve to strengthen their hold on you and act against your own interest and no shit most of social media is pushing right wing propaganda. that's the actual problem, not random thoughts, but the media and who controls it. i refuse to believe that there are people who lack any sense of critical thinking skills
>>34764864Prove it then.
>>34762206Thoughts matter, but they ideally should be combined with passion and action.Magical effects are possible, but they put you at the whim of "demons". There really are entities like that, not necessarily good or evil, christian or satanic, they intervene in human matters when they feel like it. They see us, our thoughts and actions and often feel pursuaded to help or hinder us. They aren't all knowing and all powerful, and barely observable, so that's why magic(k) is not so straightforward and reliable.
>>34765528Understand quantum physics better.. Or worse, idk.>>34762206Sure, couldn’t hurt.
>>34762206If you think your thoughts shape reality, that's called magical thinking and it's a symptom of a number of mental disorders. Of course, I bet you're the type of person who doesn't believe in mental disorders.
