My immediate family never fit in at the family reunion, because we're the normal straight-laced law abiding members of a wider family of meth head southern red necks.

I knew it meant a lot for my family for me not to fall into any of that stuff, so I was always good. I only ever dated guys from church, I didn't drink or do drugs or anything.

My cousin gave me a cookie that had weed in it. She didn't tell me it was a weed cookie, and I thought it tasted bad because she didn't follow the recipe so I forced myself to eat it to be polite.

It was kind of incredible. I feel like all the stuff I normally worry about just went away, and I could breathe and not worry about disappointing everyone for a minute. That freedom has been stuck on my mind ever since, and I'm not sure if that means I'm already addicted or if this was an experience that was meant to open my eyes to how I'd always been living for other people instead of for me.

Should I try it again, on purpose this time? Or am I going to get addicted from that? I mean it genuinely when I say I feel like it made me snap out of a lot of preconceptions I had about stuff, so I'm also curious if there's maybe more things it could open my eyes to.

It's a gateway drug. Don't be retarded. You made the best of a bad situation and learned it's possible to not be so worried about things. Now just find your way there without the drugs.

I mean there's not much wrong with taking an edible every now and then, provided it's legal for you. You went balls deep on a trip for what I can assume is your first time. For cookies you're really only supposed to eat half, or a quarter. Also its potentially possible you can develop an addiction to weed, but its more of a mental addiction or like an addiction to the feeling rather than like a physical addiction like alcohol or heroin. Just be smart about it. And maybe talk to a doctor about anxiety. Sounds like you might have it, and lucky for you the devils lettuce is a treatment.

>gateway drug
Typically not. Someone who's going to try cocaine would have done so without being introduced to weed first trust me lol.

Bruh

This is what I'm afraid of, but the experience made me reconsider a lot of what I believed about drugs too so I'm not sure if it's just being too cautious.

It's legal as of a couple years ago in my state. I'm still just not sure about it enough to feel confident for or against it.

You should just become a stoner chick and get free weed and housing for life as some dudes stoner wife

Genuine question. Does your family have any history of schizophrenia? Psychosis?

If so, don't try weed again. You can go into THC induced psychosis and it can turn into schizophrenia. I might have had it happen to me. IDK i'm not diagnosed yet

Bro I dont think that was weed. If you ate a weed cookie without knowing and you had never had weed before you would NOT feel like that. You would have a terrible panic attack and think youre dying.

What you are describing sounds like effect of benzos. You might want to make sure your cousin didnt put xanax in the brownie or something

Bro I have been so fucking high from edibles you will never tell me that shit is not a psychedelic experience. Constantly getting flash backs from 30 seconds ago. Closed eye visuals. Profound confusion. Completely fucking gone for like 12 hours.

not to talk shit or pile on but I REALLY fucking hate how the word addiction has lost all meaning. Addiction should only every mean physical addiction. And anything not physically addictive should be called HABIT FORMING not addictive. I feel like this used to be understood but some fucking morons in psychology ruined it.
