I recently found out that someone (Not going to say who.) has been smoking in the house in places i thought we agreed are no smoking areas and now i need to learn how to clean the smoke out of the rooms. Is it possible to use steam to clean a room that has been smoked in?Can i use soap water and turn it into steam, let is spread across the whole entire room and let it sit there for a while to clean the room and everything in it?Will it cause much damages to anything such as electronics and even the house itself?
>>34766782How about quit being a fag. Every building you’ve been in, built before the 90s, has been smoked in. They don’t stink. You want to replace that evil lingering smoke smell with wiring and electrical problems.
>>34766782I did a cursory glance at the internet and its pretty clear. You need to hire some professional cleaners to deal with it. I'd make the person who smoked front the bill for it. That's just me tho, if you were going to do it yourself id definitely move this post over to the /diy/ board. They would be more likely to give you a better answer.
>>34766818The house i live in is built after the 90s so how about ya give actual advice or mind your own business.>>34766820Thanks.
>>34766894The point is that the smell will go away with normal use, Tardo. Use f’breeze, throw baking soda around before you vacuum. Mothballs, charcoal, ozone. It’s like you just fell off the turnip truck.
>>34766818unless you're smoking daily inside that single room, it creates a nasty layer of resin on the walls, don't ask me how i know
>>34768633Nasty, or protective?
>>34766782get an ozone machineseal up the windows and doors, leave it running for a few days (while you sleep at your parents' or something)it will completely remove the smellworks for cars too.
>>34768621No, you're not getting the point, the point being that smoke is filthy and i want it cleaned. If ya got no cleaning advice then get out of my thread. Not to mention how untrue your words are as i once went into a garage of someone who smokes and it damaged their walls and put a permanent bad smell on the laundry machine and dryer.>>34768851Thanks.
>>34769361You have mental issues. If you do not like the above. Atomise alcohol from a spray bottle. It solves all substance and makes the more volatile, easily evaporating into the air and then condensing on the floor.. Garages aren’t painted, even in million dollar homes. That’s hardly what we are talking about. Stop moving the goal posts. There’s something wrong with your living space if it stinks up at the furst sign of trouble. Paint is not only for colour. It prevents moisture and stank absorption. I bet you eat your salad in the outside smoking area and act like everyone has leprosy . You’d probably understand is someone was addicted to some imaginary diagnosis like gambling or sex, and pain pills but you can’t give a smoker a break because it violates you olfactory. Maybe people don’t want to smell you. They can, you know? I can smell who was last inna room. Some people have good sniffers. Enjoy yours instead of being a cunt about it.
