I dont think college is for me. I used to game a lot when I was younger cuz I was an iPad kid. But since trying to limit social media I find myself enjoying going outside more and more. I dont think I can churn AI slop for a living and put on a fake smile trying to climb an infinite rat race. Firefighting is very appealing to me because I work with my hands a lot, am part of a community, and do actual meaningful work. The only thing that puts me off are the schedules. I dont mind long hours but 24 hours is crazy. Is it worth sacrificing that much sleep for this job? I really like the stablity that comes with it but the trade off might not be worth it...
Maybe volunteer first or seek similar like paramedic or sthn
