I've never really considered myself socially awkward. If anything, I'm pretty nonchalant. I don't randomly walk up to people because I don't like invading someone's space, but if I see something interesting or have a reason to talk, I'll approach anyone, guys or girls.

The thing I've noticed is that whenever I approach women, they almost always seem really distant. At first I figured maybe that's just their personality, so I didn't think much of it. But then I see the same women talking to my friends, laughing, asking questions, carrying conversations, and their whole attitude is completely different.

When they talk to me, it feels like I ask a question, they give the shortest possible answer, and that's it. The conversation dies immediately. I get the "please leave me alone" vibe, so... I leave them alone.

The weird part is I don't think I'm a particularly boring person. I skate, make music, I'm a CS major, I have a job, I play games, I fish, I go camping, and I've been told by plenty of people that I'm not ugly. Even friends who usually roast me have straight-up said I'm a decent-looking guy. I take care of how I dress and how I look too.

After almost every interaction with a woman, I end up replaying it in my head hundreds of times wondering if I said something weird or came across the wrong way. I genuinely can't find anything. My tone is the same one I use with everyone else, and I don't think I'm acting creepy or anything.

So I don't really get it. Why does it feel like women immediately become distant with me while acting completely different around other people? Am I missing something obvious here, or has anyone else experienced this?

the decorum of socializing today is vastly different than any other time in history.
since smart phones in the late 2000s its the first time socializing is dictated by internet standards over anything real.
as much as id like to say its just women its men too. its fucked.
you're probably just digging in the wrong places. sadly the dating apps are how people find relationships now and past that i'd look for third spaces people meet and look for others as opposed to, "i just want to go home with my matcha and browse netflix, please stop talking to me".
its like when you are in a roleplaying game and instead of a dwarf hitting you up at the dock asking how're the fish, sharing an ale, instead you have some discord fag talking about setting up rules out of character first. people aren't just organically engaging but setting the parameters of how to engage. its retarded but the standards changed.

only use tinder when cope-vacationing in another country
realize blaming "society" is massive cope and changes nothing
literally every girl I interact with acts the exact same way
statistically it's impossible for me to be right and all of them to be wrong
must be a me problem
only true wizard left in the entire friend group

How cooked am I and what am I doing wrong, anon?

like i said in the other threads, third spaces.
cut off all online bullshit, vidya, and go outside. hiking clubs, aa, alanon, yoga clubs, book clubs, library, church (even church shopping). women go to these events, and men often don't.
you'll have to do a lot of testing to see what fits but it'll be like school putting you back in an environment where the opposite sex even exists.
i dont know about being a passport bro. im sure it'd work in the Philippines but then you may as well not lie to yourself about what you've become.
i try to avoid dating apps but many people still find others on them even if they aren't fair and broken by design. i have a buddy that fucked half a town on it every work day off and even though his teeth were fucked, he was skinny and had enough southern retardation to make it work.

You have to remember that the majority of women are socially-retarded and also act weird around men that they like, just like men tend to. Just look at all the reels these people post of how they act around people in whom they have no sexual interest (charismatic, smiling and chatty) and around people whom they want to have sex (cold, stony, glaring). Life is a lot, lot, more enjoyable when you stop trying to interpret women. I know it's easier said than done but at least try to ignore it.
