Is it considered childish if every now and then you still remember the good times you had with your ex from years ago?I'm not talking about desiring to be with them again. I'm just talking about like if something triggers a memory and you're reminded of that time.
No that is just called being human. I really dislike my ex for dumping me at the lowest point in my life and immediately moving on but I still feel a longing for her when I have a dream about her. Just don't act on it lol.
>>34778241Yeah, I just don't get how you're considered childish for having an experience that mattered in your life at some point. For having feelings and memories. It's not like you can erase them from your mind.
>>34778178No. It took time , but I love my ex way more than my current bf. I'm working in a exit strategy now
>>34778270>exit strategyI need me one of those so I can get the fuck outta my job and be financially free
I'd say it's mature being able to do that, if anything
>>34778178That's what actually moving on looks like.
>>34778178I only remember the lost potential because of how she fucked it up several times and I had hopes for her.
>>34778403There's no such thing as lost potential when it comes to relationships. If she fucked up, it's because she is a fuck up. Which is to say that the problem was on your end for expecting her to be better than she actually was. If that "potential" never becomes "actual", then it's your illusion of that person and not the reality of who that person truly is. If a relationship fails, then it was always going to fail because the reasons for its failure were there since the beginning and you just didn't have the eyes to see it at the time.

Is it bad if I do the same things with my new gf that I did with my ex to try to recreate the good times
>>34778178Body in the reddit icon sussy
>>34778808Trying to recreate a past relationship is bad, yes, but if all you’re doing is reusing date ideas then I don’t think you actually have anything to worry about.
>>34778178Nah. I still occasionally look back fondly on times I spent with an ex who I haven’t seen or spoken to in over a decade.

>>34778808Yes, not a good idea anon.
