I constantly catch myself wondering if I’m charismatic or if I ever was. I’ve read pretty much every self-help and charisma book out there and watched tons of videos, but I’m still in the exact same place. Sitting in my room all day, studying, zero friends to show for it.

Did theory ruin me, or is it just over for introverts? How do I stop overthinking this and actually fix it?

you're not charismatic. how do you feel about that? you don't have to think about it anymore at least, right?
>>
>>34778851
Introvert + charismatic is impossible unless you look handsome.

"I don't know, I just wish I had some kind of skill to communicate or make people smile. Just anything so I could have at least some human contact, instead of spending months and months talking to myself in my own head, unable to debate ideas with anyone other than myself. But honestly, I'm just numb to it at this point.

alright my name is dr chud. lets give a basic eval.
lets do an appearance check. answer these 4 questions.
what's your hairline like? lost your first mm of hair yet?
are you fat?
what's your dress wardrobe look like?
pictures of hair would help us start as well as any other information you'd like to provide to the board.

Alright Dr Chud, here's the run-down on my appearance:
About my hair: I have really long, curly hair. It's actually very long, but I wear a beanie most of the day and only style it when I actually leave the house, which isn't often. No, I haven't lost a single millimeter of hair.
I'm not fat, I'm skinny, more like 'lean/defined.' I've played basketball since I was a kid, still do occasionally, though not as much nowadays.
As for my wardrobe, I barely have any clothes because I almost never go out.

going outside naked is a little direct for most people unless you're at a gay pride parade. are you still living at home since it sounds like you're not going to a job?
what are you doing to form relationships with people?
>>
>>34779074
Yeah, I still live with my parents. As for relationships, I'm literally doing nothing.
I'm currently studying game design and spend almost all my time inside my room studying. I don't even go out to play basketball anymore or buy stuff at local shops, I just don't do it.
>>
No one is charismatic without knowing it. You're literally playing with people's emotions, you don't do that unintentionally. Every charismatic person is a sociopath.

can you post a picture of yourself and blot your face out?
you just need to get out more and meet some people. look for groups/clubs in your area.
larp, church, hiking, yoga, radio, sewing, plant identification, book, game design, spiritual. people go to these events to socialize with others and it sounds like you need a heavy dose of that. these people are desperate for new blood because most people are like you and holed up in a room with a screen all day.
there isn't much to lose other than a few hours of your time to trial them. is it worth being miserable forever to donate a few hours?
i mean you probably lose more hours a week gooning than you would from such a small sacrifice like that.

I think what really holds me back is my face. I just don't feel confident or brave enough to do that, you know? Not even gooning/jerking off brings much pleasure anymore, it's just that everything else is kind of boring and dull. I honestly feel like I'm living the exact same day over and over. And I don't really have a crew or a connection with anyone to just go to the park or the sports court. I mean, the court isn't really an excuse—I could go alone, right? But I don't know, I just can't picture myself going there by myself. I genuinely don't know what's happening to me. I think I just lost the drive to leave the house because I got way too comfortable being stuck inside.
This is my face. Obviously I censored it since I didn't want to show it, but this is my hair when it's styled. Usually I just keep it tied back or wear a beanie

I actually really liked your point. It just proves how much of a piece of shit I am, since I can't even get that right. I literally have no friends, and it's not even because I'm playing with anyone's feelings, I'm just over here getting fucked over by my own feelings all by myself

No dude u need to chill. What u are experiencing is called surplus enjoyment. You have a fantasy in your head of being charasmatic but instead of doing the one thing that will actually make u charasmatic aka: going out and practicing theory and then reviewing it and making changes and practicing again instead you protect your fantasy and enjoy it. You are inside enjoying the desire that you could be charismatic and the fantasy that you are. Once you present this to the real world it might conflict with your inner world and shatter you completely. This is all hella normal and is how language structures us. Everyone has to deal with this

You're right about this matter. I’ve honestly been locked up in my room, in my house, for months now. Just studying, seriously. There isn't a single day where I don't wake up and study. Except for the weekends, when I literally do jack shit and just procrastinate. I could be doing other stuff, but I don't. But like I said, not a day goes by where I don't wake up and study what I need to. And I think that's why my mind ended up feeling kind of broken, so to speak.
Ever since I finished high school, I just stopped leaving the house. I couldn't make any friends back in school, and the only friendship I had turned out to be completely manipulative, which made me pretty depressed. But you can't stick around in a manipulative friendship anyway.
So, I’m kind of aimless, except for the course I have to take, but I don’t have any emotional support

if you have to ask yourself this question, anon, then you know you aren't. also, you have to apply theory to make it work in this case. you have to just keep practicing and practicing, seeing what sticks/what works and what doesn't. you cannot be afraid of failure because there will no doubt be tons of it, but the more you apply it (as skillfully as you can), the better you will get. true charisma doesn't rely on looks and a lot of anons will gaslight you into thinking it does - but it certainly helps if you are good looking
