I've had Acne since i was like 13 or 14, and paired with my shitty mustache it makes my face look like diarrhea.

i dont know about skin care shit but i do know some oil to your skin is important so some people go too far with skin care addiction or whatever they call it
the main thing id say is change your eating habits. i always get zits if i eat potato chips for example. i've cut my eating habits a lot (moreso for other reasons) and usually don't get zits unless i'm wearing a hat or something else.
if you want to do it right, you'll cut your diet down to one or a few foods for a week or longer to see if it fixes things, then add a new thing each week and see how it affects you.
im sure there is a list somewhere online of what food groups cause more acne to form than others.
i'd also be careful with shaving because that can also affect your skin. I instead just leave facial hair shorter on areas I usually don't want facial hair, but use scissors instead of a razor

if you're like me and have really bad genes, lifestyle changes won't do shit. find yourself a dermatologist. they will almost certainly prescribe you accutane. it works wonders and the side effects are minimal.
>>
>>34779160
not sure what part of the world you're from but if you're in the US, recategorize 'food' on store shelves as poison.
it's not the grocery store, it's toxic mart. i'd say 80% of what's on the shelves is venom slop and bad for you in one or multiple ways.
stick to the basics: meat and vegetables are the main ones. you can get away with beans rice and the like if you are poor. dairy can affect peoples skin. avoid reprocessed foods sugars and seed oils in particular.
you have to decide if it's better worth it to eat like a piggy or limit your diet to not look like a fresh slice of pizza every morning
god speed anon
>>
>>34779173
I think you're the only one ever who told me "lifestyle changes won't do shit" or something like that, everybody tells me to go more outside (besides work) or to stop eating sunflower seeds/semechki. I`ll try going to one, thanks
>>
>>34779183
Are sunflower seeds bad for my acne? I eat a ton every week.
>>
>>34779119
you stop asking retards on a chinese cartoon forum and go see a dermatologist, they can give you accutane or something
>>
>>34779212
i'd say its worse than average. usually has seed oils to get the salt to stick to them (high in omega 6 which is bad), and a lot of salt which causes problems for skin as well. i'd avoid and don't eat them anymore myself.
doctor's not a horrible idea. i think you have to make some pretty strong lifestyle changes to fix it, and most people aren't willing to give up a lot of the slop in our diet. you just have to understand that foodcorp is constantly attempting new ingredients in our food and there's not a ton of long term data on their affects, so a lot that gets through that will be banned in the next 50 years.
you have to start reading the food labels on everything.
>>
>>34779224
ig you're right, but i don`t 400 usd to spend on a dermatologist (google said its 400 usd)
>>
>>34779237
hey thanks, I dont know if ill completely stop eating them, ill like watching TV and eating them with friend.
>>
>>34779254
try switching to pumpkin seeds
id still try like vegetables and whole grains for a week to see if it clears any of it up as well as what i mentioned about shaving. some hair products like shampoos/body washes will clear all the oils from your skin which makes it worse for acne so i'd consider changing that.
it sounds nuts but i stopped using shampoo and conditioner. my mom told me my grandpa used a bar of soap his whole life (when soap was just animal fats). and so i started looking around and using baking soda only when my hair was too oily and apple cider vinegar mixed with water as a hair rinse.
it's very rare when i get acne now like almost never. like i said most products now are shit. our ancestor peasants just drank ale and ate bread and the bare minimum. they didn't have all this fancy skin care shit either and probably just had soap for everything including hair.
>>
if that's you in the OP you're cooked
>>
Uh hello? You wash your face. Like, you get soap with the scrubbies formula, get your yourself one of those electric face scrubbers women use and you have a face washing routine. Also, wash your pillow sheet regularly. It's that easy.
>>
>>34779245
Try asking an actual dermatologist clinic, maybe they're cheaper, or even just get an appointment with a family doctor/general practitioner, even a pharmacist. Acne is a routine skin condition, this is unlikely to require some bespoke specialist treatment.
>>
>>34779382
its like that. but no, that`s not me.
>>
>>34779119
How old are you? With 21 it should cease.

Anyway, have you tried ivermectin creme? It supposedly often helps a lot.
>>
>>34779119
don't listen to any of these other anons telling you to just scrub your face.
acne can come at any age but usually it tapers off once you're an adult for the most part.
here's things you can do to actually reduce your acne:
wash your pillow cases/bedding weekly
wash your face in the morning with water and a soft washcloth, no soap. do not scrub hard, do not pick at your face if you can help it
at night, wash your face with a gentle soap and apply a scentless lightweight moisturizer
make sure you're drinking plenty of water and not sugary drinks
if you're taking any vitamins/medicines, sometimes acne can be a side effect (b12 and lithium are good examples of lesser known acne side effect)
i recommend watching dermatologist youtubers like dr. dray or doctorly (these are youtubers i like). additionally, using the skincare subreddits unironically. they tend to have good advice and are not just for women.
acne can be caused by multiple things - hormones, bad diet, skin being too oily or too dry, and sometimes due to allergens.
if you're still having severe acne, you should get your hormones tested as well as go to a dermatologist. ACCUTANE IS A LAST RESORT MEDICINE, do not listen to anons who just shill it - it can have devastating side effects for some people, but it can also be very wonderful for people who do not have the terrible side effects of it. godspeed
>>
>>34779119
additionally, you could also potentially be allergic to certain foods which could be causing you to break out in acne (like dairy), or have allergies to mites.
ofc ultimately it could all just be genetics but yeah anyway thats my piece. good luck
>>
>>34780129
hey thanks, and yeah a lot of the thing you and other people said are true about me, I dont clean my bed that often, I scrub my face only in the shower and my diet is horrible. thanks for the advice
>>
>>34779119
Depends on the type. Pustulous acne can be treated with benzoyl peroxide after washing and drying your face thorougly. If the zits are mature pop them with clean hands in a single push, if it didn't come out stop trying.

Acne vulgaris like the one in OP is treated with Retinoic acid, apply once at night and only at night. Do not expose it to the sun or it will stain your skin.

Comedo acne is treated by popping the blackheads with a loop tool, you could try washing and rinsing thoroughly and apply a blackhead mask before manually removing the ones really stuck. You may need to press manually, again in a single try.
>>
>>34780825
Forgot to say, apply retinoic acid and benzoyl ONLY ON THE RED AREAS. Do not cover healthy skin with those. Specially retinoic acid which works by accelerating skin renewal and thus depletes the cellular reserve if misused, causing skin thinning and permanent atrophic spots.
>>
>>34780825
any acids will make you more likely to burn/damage your skin in the sun. if you use any skincare acids, please wear sunscreen and try not to be outside much/cover up. this is why i didn't immediately suggest acids as we don't know the cause of the acne, and it can be difficult for beginners to use correctly. i do not recommend a loop tool as it causes scarring
>>34780832
if his skin is very dry, this won't be helpful because it will just dry out his skin more

I use hydrogen peroxide to reduce redness and swelling and salicyclic acid. It works better than anything else I have tried but it isnt perfect.
>>
>>34779119
Get actutane prescribed. Eat diet low in sugars, oils and fats. soak a washcloth in highly saline saltwater and wash your face with it, then lightly wash with water a few moments later. drink lots of water and get daily exercise for at least 30 minutes.
>.t 42 and had acne all the way into my late 30s
I only needed acutane when I was a teenager, the other methods worked in my 20s and 30s.
>>
>>34783589
nibba you sound like you get clinical advice from marketers.
>>
>>34784404
i have a passion about skincare, have tried things for myself (like the loop, which caused scarring for me) and also read pubmed about what works/doesn't. i actually personally believe a simple skincare routine is best if possible, i just recommend things like yt derms and so on because its easily accessible for someone who is new to these kinds of things.
knowing that acids can make you light sensitive is important to know, because it can lead to long term damage on your skin. i just want op to have nice skin and feel confident in themselves
>>
>>34784404
additionally, i believe prevention is better than reversal. reversal being what a lot of "marketers" want to try to sell.
>>
>>34784436
>>34784432
Sure, but when you have a clinical issue, you have to figure when to use things that damage, and using them in the least harmful way possible. With the publish or perish culture you will find articles and systematic reviews that both agree and disagree with whatever you want to say, so it's nothing you can trust without knowing deep to the molecular level to make judgement.

I would love to know how to sound more like a marketer, but It's not as easy to make a cautious call as it is to sell things that rely on the body's awesome regenerative power to reinforce positive outcome bias. At the end of the day, the power to move people is the most important of all traits.
>>
>>34784538
yes, but that's why op needs to go see a dermatologist to actually figure on what's going on with his skin, not to arbitrarily suggest things without even warning of potential effects. for example, if his acne is caused by extremely dry skin, adding hydrogen peroxide or benzoyl isn't going to be effective in the long term because he would need to fix his skin barrier by adding moisture. I want op to get to the heart of his issue, not just put a bandaid ontop of it and cross his fingers hoping it will work. also ironic you compare me to a marketer when i haven't suggested any skincare products

there are two basic elements for skin care cleaning: mechanical and chemical.

Mechanical is self explanatory: every single skin pore is accumulating unhealthy mix of dead bacteria, pieces of dead skin, oils and the like. Wash your hands, then wash your face, dry it off and then manually go inch by inch squeezing the skin. the nasty stuff has to leave your pores at least once per week. Some call this peeling and the like.

Chemical is just as important, because with mechanical approach you will never cover the 99% of cases. Pic related. Classical soap is bad for you because
>it melts the oils
skin has auto oil mechanism to protect itself from drying out. if soap melts all the fat layer, the skin will overcompensate with extra oil and clog your pores faster
>kills bacteria
your skin purpousesly keeps colonies of "friendly" bacteria whose only purpouse is to KILL anything else. if you wipe them out, chances are diff types of bacteria starts growing on your skin: the type which can chew downwards or irritate the skin
>soup is alkaline
healthy skin is slighty acidic to keep bacteria growth slow and controller. Soup turns your skin to PH neutral or worse. So you allow bacteria to have paradise on your face.

You want something with SALICYLIC acid. Turns out the key to healthy skin is to reguraly (twice per day) melt off the outermost layer with acid.

After a few weeks of regural mechanical plus chemical cleaning 80% of your red pimples will be gone. And no, you will still occasionally get pimple, but they will be way less intense, shallower and have less puss acumulated in them.

I wish this was taught in schools instead of useless shit like literature. All the teens have pimple and noone tells them how to undo it. It is like adults hate the kids or something.

Nothing wrong with what you've said but this image is hard to watch

It looks like it's been made by an autistic individual that is focused on just a few aspects in their life while missing the big picture. Zoom the fuck out and you'll see all the rot around you. And no, you'll not become a woman

>no tretinoin or tazaroten
Sad
>>
>>34784990
>big picture
>its just little unkept sink
not worth the effort, until the wash changes color to yellow i do not care

>tretinoin or tazaroten
that lowkey stops being about stopping acne and leans more into looksmaxxing teritory which has low returns for men
>>
>>34779119
skin care helps with acne vulgaris, but for harder stuff like hormonal acne you either change your diet to have a low glycemic index (to prevent insulin spikes and thus breakouts) and keep it that way forever, or you undergo isotretinoin on fall+winter 6 months, on most people it goes away forever

talk to a derma ofc
>>
>>34779196
do not listen to "sun exposure will fix it" and other bullshit remedies

yes, they help shortterm, but your body compensates by producing more oil to restore the dryness in your skin and then you breakout thrice as harder
>>
>>34779119
Look, it’s hard to give advice without at least showing us a chunk of your face. We can’t tell if it’s cystic acne or white heads. Honestly if it has been a lifelong struggle for you I’m assuming that you have tried many things. Try focusing on taking care of your skin barrier this time around. Do a little bit of research into damaged skin barriers and find cheap products to use for it, hell even ask AI. You can ask it to tell you the cheapest products to use and where to get them.
>>
>>34779387
The electric face scrubbers will fuck your shit up in the long run, don’t use those
