I am fat. 5'4" ~155 lbs. I hate exercising but I've got to shake this weight. I have a set of adjustable dumbbells which I bought a couple of years ago. I will use them for 2-3 weeks at a time and then give up. But I need to do better with long-term consistency. What are some ways a fat idiot like me can build discipline and set realistic weight loss goals?
>>34779828Got to gym. Only dumbbells won't cut it. Do a slight deficit. Visit /fat/ general on /fit/. And don't give up. Just keep stacking days.
>>34779828you need more aerobics for fat burning, which usually translates to longer workouts. i'd go for walks/runs. dumb bells are for muscle building.also change your diet. cut out sugar/high fructose, seed oils, reprocessed foods in particular. start reading labels and counting calories. most food is slop and should be avoided, and often times they'll trick you and either act like its healthy or hide the slop in the sauces. most sauces have one of the things i mentioned above. if you're in the US 90% of bread is poison. enriched wheat flour disagrees with many people and its forced into all nonorganic bread when 40% of population has mthfr gene mutation that doesn't even process the artificial b vitamins. only get pastas etc if they're from italy. and make your own bread if you have to. its not hard. i had to camp for an entire summer job one year and could only make bread for my weekends and figured it out with fuckall to cook with. not rating bread the highest though for health.they're using whatever's cheapest and don't care if the byproduct is you looking like a landwhale. you have to assume 80% on grocery shelves is poison.primarily stick with meat and vegetables if you can afford it. rice and beans works better if you're poor because dry of each costs next to nothing.i've also found if you make your food taste boring you eat less of it. at some point it will drive you crazy but for your first month or two it will help shrink your stomach size.
>>34779828next time you feel the impulse to eat ask yourself why. what state of mind were you in. if you acknowledge you are eating to keep the bad thoughts away it will help you stop
exercise won't help, only eating less
