im in a friend group of roughly 12 people including myself and due to a recent falling out with one of the members everything is going to shit for everyone, so my question is, why do people bother to make friendgroups at all if one bad apple is all it takes to distance everybody back to square 0???
>>34785087it's the way it is. one table shitter and everyone has feculence sundays at the table. its up to the leader and everyone else to get rid of the bad apples and fix things to make it work.even friends table energy to make work so everyone/leader is going to have to try and make it work and tell people it's time to move past this. or the group splits in 2.did the table shitter have allies?has anyone tried to do damage control yet?
>>34785097the shitter has more than allies the shitter is dating someone from the group. and gets along decently with most.me and a close friend tried doing damage control and we got chastised for "taking it too seriously"
>>34785087It didn't use to be this way, but since social media has given the false impression that people can always be replaced with better people than whatever imperfect souls you spend your time with, anyone less holier than thou on whatever the issue of the day is can no longer make the cut in their minds and gets discarded. Nevermind how retarded this all is, that's how people act because they can't imagine a person with flaws being deserving of patience or effort, and so one bad apple gets enough stink on everyone else to make them throw out the whole bunch.
>>34785087Friend groups should be 3 to 5 people, not 12.
>>34785107>the typical guild story with love strings attachedi dont know if you guys have meetings, but if i was in your shoes, i'd get together with your close friends and write down very clear and concise about the problem, and then bring it up with those that care, or the entire group, to discuss.you will probably get a good idea based on the individuals reactions if they're some are going to go along with you or react in an extremely negative manner.if your suggestions/thoughts aren't met, then it is time to make an ultimatum and draw a line for yourself and your close friend. you don't have to be a turbo asshole, but just say something along the lines of, "X person is bringing the group down for Y and Z reasons. If we can't change X or keep them out of group affairs, me and my close friend are going to form a smaller group to do things so that this bullshit Y and Z doesn't keep repeating itself."Make it in a way that makes it sound like it's as impersonal as possible, and focused on the group health as a result of specific past history that keeps repeating itself.write it out like it's a police report that separates the people as much as possible, to prevent the, "you're dissing my girlfriend" reaction.>>34785243this sounds like the final solution
