All my usual choices of escapism aren't really cutting it anymore (4chan included). But I still haven't managed to find meaningful ways to engage with the real world ("touching grass," if you will). It's like I stumbled into a wall after aimlessly drifting through life, using distractions to keep myself from thinking about where I was going. Now I'm left alone to face the inadequacies of my own life.Have any of you ever faced a similar situation?
>>34785114this is the start of 90% of problems on /adv/. i think you hit the nail on the head op. hope you can relate.
uhmmm maybeeee you should, like, face what you're escaping from?crazy, I know
>>34785114Escapism is only somewhat effective at coping. If you are locked in a cellar and are tortured every day, it doesnt matter how good the entertainment you use to spend the rest of the day is. You will still feel miserable.
