i fucking paid for tinder for a week and still nothing. i paid because i have hundreds of likes and wanted to see who they are. turns out most im not interested in, and the ones i messaged never messaged back. i just sat down and started swiping right on a bunch more girls than free mode would allow me and im about to cancel but how do i maximize this time where i still have it? im not really ugly, i should've matched with at least one from this. is this even real anymore?
Its all commodified since like last year. Especially anything Match owned. Hinge and Tinder are designed to perpetually keep you swiping even when they say they don't and since last year have begun a lot of disabling of features and hiding profiles to keep long term swiping. Even prem accounts are getting hidden. Also most women are using it for an ego boost and still hoping for a in-person approach. Not really looking for dates. Of course its still a tool so good photos win over all but most people at this point are not on there for connection.
I hate how Hinge is now charging you to change your location more than once a month.
