How tò quit smoking?
The root cause of all these addictions is pleasure. Which you seek to overcome a deeper issue which could be depression and anxiety, or probably you are intensely bored with life.
>>34786227Zaaaach>>34786217if you can't afford something drastic like a week vacation in a cabin where your wife/mom takes your car away and you are trapped, then most people now switch to vaping/zyn/patches because you can lessen your dosage from 12->9->6->3->0mg until you're off it.there's also a quit smoking line in US where they will give you free patches or a discount. i use to cut mine up since i was cheap and micro dosed that way when i needed them. wasnt hard to keep the patches in my pocket, but some people need the tool so zyn/vaping works better even if its 0mg for vaping.also a lot of vape juice is kinda gross. i bought the tobacco flavored ones when i did it. i think black note.
just don't buy any more
>>34786227I agree about this psychological aspect, but there is also a strong physical dependence on nicotine.>>34786259I bought a Fuyl e-cigarette a while back, but I gave it up right away because it didn't give me the same satisfaction as a cigarette, plus I found myself vaping constantly. I should give it another try. Zyn and patches could be alternatives, but I’d miss the actual act of smoking.
>>34786359maybe consider this...use a 12mg zyn or patches, and get a vape that's 0mg. you can practice the habit and manage the effect of the alternative.unfortunately with cigarettes its all or nothing unless you scrunch out the end and pocket it.but in truth man, cigarettes are the fast food of nicotine. its trash. the main thing you need to do is get off that cause it will f you up longterm.
I’m not a heavy smoker, but I’ve been smoking 5 to 10 cigarettes a day regularly for about 12 years. I’m starting to feel the negative effects and am seriously considering a way out. I think I’ll try switching to an e-cigarette with nicotine; when I get the urge to smoke, I’ll take a few good puffs to relax and avoid reaching for a real cigarette. I won’t beat myself up if I have a cigarette every now and then, but the ideal goal would be to live without smoking anything at all. I’ve also tried IQOS—which simulates a real cigarette very well by eliminating combustion—and I could use that too when I have a strong craving
>>34786217Never quit. Keep smoking.
>>34786259It's scientifically proven: boredom, anxiety, and depression is why people go to these things. When I was depressed I smoked because I felt like my life was over.
you never quitbut you can stopits simple, you dont smoke anymorefirst 3 days are very shittyfirst 3 months are mehi used to chew carrots pretending its a fagthen its okbut dont ever light one, dont hang out with smokersyou will be back into it eventually
>>34786217Cold turkey. Best way to do that is on some vacation where you have a nice distraction. Don't try the first 2 weeks when you're at your job.
>>34786217Practice chewing. Don’t concentrate on quitting smoking. Soon, you are able to miss a miss a break. Getting on an airplane isn’t a problem. You may opt to have a dip instead of a smoke at some opportunities. Or have days where you don’t want to stink when you have to convince the doctor you Don’t smoke. Eventually it will fade into being a pain in the ass. You can always have a little tucked in your cheek, even in doors. Nobody has to know unless you get to shovelling like a major league ball player.
